Just been reading a thread about "Does Appearance Matter?" and wondered what Gransnetters are wearing in lock-down? (This is meant as a lighthearted thread........hopefully it stays that way!!)

Blue floral cotton jersey skirt (Per Una via Ebay), navy blue half-sleeve t-shirt (Cotton Traders) and purple Skechers sneakers. Comfortable but not disreputable.

A floral sleeveless summer dress which I made a few weeks ago. I lined it with fabric from an old sheet which I'd put my foot through - the middle may have been worn out but the rest of it is fine. Looks better than it sounds - I think.

Navy cut offs, strappy blue white turquoise blobs top, white crocs

DiscoGran Mon 15-Jun-20 11:55:54

Stripy leggings, t shirt, flip flops.
Little bit of make up, hair in a pony, but I did brush it today!

henetha Mon 15-Jun-20 11:51:20

I've been outside gardening, cutting back brambles, so I'm in ancient pair of brown and cream striped trousers and a pink and white striped top. The top is Dash and I love it so much I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Navy cropped trousers and what I call my ‘boho’ loose top which is blue with a darker blue palm leaf pattern. No shoes. Touch of makeup, mainly mascara.

grin I do read these posts with a grin on my face. No offence meant to anyone, I'm sure having clothes with a name tag means a lot to many. I'm wearing scruffy nightie so old that I've forgotten where I bought it and old joggers. Btw nightie is just scruffy cos I've just put the bin out, will chuck it in wash when I go in the shower. Never mind shops are open today so all those lovely labels will be dangling to tempt shoppers

Are some of you going Out Out?

Dollymc2 Sun 14-Jun-20 19:57:38

Cream trousers, cream and pink linen top, cream espadrilles
Make up and perfume
I have decided that I want to feel better about things, so will wear nice clothes and it works for me
Wearing the same old, same old got me down somewhat

PinkCakes Sun 14-Jun-20 19:43:53

I'm wearing a blue patterned, sleeveless maxi dress, navy flip=flops, and of course, underwear grin

MiniMoon Sun 14-Jun-20 18:00:37

Navy sweatshirt

MiniMoon Sun 14-Jun-20 17:59:47

Dark blue jeans, may sweatshirt with pink and grey striped, flowery sketchers shoes, pink and blue striped socks.
Took watermelon and home baked biscuits to DD. We sat in her garden.
I was overdressed, the sun finally decided to shine and I got hot.
My east facing house is cool, so I haven't changed my clothes, although I thought about it.

felice Sun 14-Jun-20 17:44:28

Black Capri pants, a navy blue lined lace top, a bit of face and some smelly stuff.
Just got home from a nice afternoon on a terrace bar near my home.
Met 3 friends and had 2 glasses of white wine.

janeainsworth Sun 14-Jun-20 16:39:02

Marmight grin
Knickers, like squabbles, or trousers, is one of those English words that send the American DGC into gales of laughter. When they have recovered, they will then repeat the offending word in an exaggerated British accent ad nauseam.

They refer to their kecks as 'underpants' and their trousers as 'pants'.
One does have to be careful to use the correct terminology grin

A powder blue linen dress - again from a French street market and cost about 20 Euros.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 14-Jun-20 16:21:24

Pale blue capris and floral matching top.

lemongrove Sun 14-Jun-20 16:07:15

My knickers are my affair, ditto the bra,? but am wearing a pale blue Summer dress today, and walking around barefoot in the house, it’s very warm.

Marmight Sun 14-Jun-20 15:56:57

Thats to Maw as well

Marmight Sun 14-Jun-20 15:55:28

grin JaneA. I cant even say the word p*****es or p****hose. Something between twee & unsavoury & shuddery. I prefer knickers if I have to call them anything. In Oz they are called undies whether M or F. That seems to fit the bill/bottom. ?

janeainsworth Sun 14-Jun-20 15:05:10

Does anybody else dislike the word panties?
Yes, Maw I don’t know why, but it summons up images of passive femininity somehow. Whereas knickers conveys a strong woman image ??
As well as my knickers and bra (Triumph)
I’m wearing my dark green velvet jeans (Hobbs) a cream-striped grandad-style shirt (Toast) and an oversized neutral cardigan (Topshop).
I’m making a concerted effort to wear all my nice things at home.
As someone said in Up the Junction
‘It’s no use waiting till yer an old bag!’ grin

BibiSarah Sun 14-Jun-20 11:59:54

It’s just so “suggestive” - what’s wrong with knickers ?

Nothing as long as they don't stain easily after a romp in the grass.

Marmight Sun 14-Jun-20 11:00:42

Same as when I last reported! All been through the wash since then grin

Maggiemaybe Sun 14-Jun-20 10:56:41

I just go barefoot in the house, Rosiebee, putting socks on if it’s chilly. I’ve never worn slippers, unlike DH, who never goes barefoot, even on a beach. smile

Maggiemaybe Sun 14-Jun-20 10:45:51

I’m still in my night attire (bra and pants, white, M & S), having just partaken of a delicious bacon, egg and mushroom sandwich in bed. It’s a hard life.

Off for a garden visit with DS and his lot soon, so it’ll be purple cord leggings and a black/purple/blue striped tunic, both M & S.

Rosiebee Sun 14-Jun-20 10:05:35

Blue jeans, ancient but clean and pressed, grey tee shirt. It has an impression of a
zebra's head on front with lots of missing silver studs. Soft and faded -a bit like me. Socks as it's a bit chilly, and slippers, trainers if we go out for walk. I hate slippers in the summer but never seem to find a suitable "house shoe". Any suggestions?
