Just been reading a thread about "Does Appearance Matter?" and wondered what Gransnetters are wearing in lock-down? (This is meant as a lighthearted thread........hopefully it stays that way!!)

I love the word "knickers"! (But DH objects when I use this word for his underpants....)

Beechnut Sun 14-Jun-20 09:51:37

Nothing wrong with knickers MawB. I love the word ?

Pj's. Once i have showered i will wear navy and white cropped cotton trousers with a white or pink top. Have been busy finishing off a cake as my son and his family [3 in total] will be here a bit later today. It will be so lovely to see them all, Last time was back in March. They arranged to call last Saturday but due to awful weather cancelled, soooo thankful today is much better. Chairs already spaced out inthe garden smile

Pinny lol doing friends housework

Does anybody else dislike the word panties? (Apologies to BibiSarah nothing personal )
It’s just so “suggestive” - what’s wrong with knickers ?

BibiSarah Sun 14-Jun-20 05:34:10

Panache matching bra and panties.

Robell trousers, they're a nice aubergine colour.

Blouse from Mint Velvet that's a pale silvery grey background with an abstract print of darker grey, lilac and dark pinkish splodges all over it.

Grey suede wedge heeled shoes by Hogl that have a very nice deep v shaped front.

When I go out later I'll wear a waterfall cardigan as well due to the air conditioning where I live.

After losing many stone in weight Im really enjoying myself clothes wise.

SHORTS!!

BoadiceaJones Sun 14-Jun-20 04:48:47

Shirts. Tee shirt. Wellies (gumboots). Hat. Gloves. I'm in the garden. It might be winter here, but it's very warm. We live in the wilds, where no-one puts on the dog.

Comfy jeans, Topshop, inherited from DD2 because the left leg seam keeps twisting round.

A sage green H & M jumper with back zip.

Black socks from Tesco (?).

Mother’s Day gold and green hoop earrings, Oliver Bonas, because we’ve been out.

kissngate Sat 13-Jun-20 19:08:50

Jeans - Matalan
T shirt & cardi - M&S
Trainers - Skechers

Gap chinos and a nameless top from a French street market.

It's not bragging to name brands - for those with a passing interest in clothes it's handy to know and pick up tips and ideas.

Callistemon Sat 13-Jun-20 17:50:47

That was for ethel! wink

Callistemon Sat 13-Jun-20 17:50:14

Today, Saturday, not long back from a walk and it was warm
- so dark denim jeans, t-shirt that DH asked “ is that your nightshirt”? I don’t know what he means, it’s an old t-shirt that I’m fond of. White with a multi colour ditsy print. I’m surprised he remembers what nighties I have if I’m honest!
And on my feet some fit flop wanna be’s (Next), last year’s.

Puzzler61 Sat 13-Jun-20 16:55:00

It’s not to be annoying ethelbags, or to brag. Some of us just are interested to know -although that may sound a bit weird. Adds to the description too.

DanniRae Sat 13-Jun-20 15:04:38

I am wearing a tunic from Asda and leggings from ??? Also an apron because I have no bra on - they seem to have shrunk in the wash - and we are expecting a visit from my lovely son and equally lovely daughter-in-law and it covers up my frontal (droopy) area smile

Maggiemaybe Fri 12-Jun-20 20:05:33

Sorry, that was to ethel.

Maggiemaybe Fri 12-Jun-20 20:04:51

It wouldn’t be bragging if I did it. grin My leggings are from George at Asda, if it’s of interest.

Dollymc2 Fri 12-Jun-20 20:02:20

Today, I had on a pair of black and white checked wide leg trousers, white top and grey cardigan. Make up, earrings and perfume
Now I've got my pj's and dressing gown and central heating on, it's been so cold here today

etheltbags1 Fri 12-Jun-20 19:56:21

Why do some posters feel it necessary to name the brand of clothing they are wearing. I've mentioned this before, it annoys Mr. I hate bragging. We can describe our clothing without naming names.
