Which was does your toilet paper hang, we hang ours front facing, never from back,

OceanMama Mon 22-Jun-20 12:47:01

Front facing, always. Over, not under.

vampirequeen Mon 22-Jun-20 12:47:55

Facing and definitely over not under. If someone puts it on the wrong way then I have to change it grin

TrendyNannie6 Mon 22-Jun-20 12:48:14

Way not was

TrendyNannie6 Mon 22-Jun-20 12:48:54

Yes me too, vampirequeen,

EllanVannin Mon 22-Jun-20 12:49:18

I have a pole that the rolls just slot on in a pile but if I had one of those fixtures, it would be forward facing for the paper.

Beechnut Mon 22-Jun-20 12:53:47

Front facing so you can see the pointy bit ?

BlueSky Mon 22-Jun-20 12:56:23

Slightly off topic here but are you still working through your stack of toilet paper bought at the beginning of lockdown? grin

Oopsminty Mon 22-Jun-20 13:03:39

I'm sure that the over not under people are correct

However I prefer under due to the fact I can whizz it down and get a bit more of the stuff

vampirequeen Mon 22-Jun-20 13:08:19

I always have a few spare rolls because we live in a village with no shop but I didn't buy extra before lockdown.

Please forgive me in advance Ooopsminty. If I ever get invited to your house, you'll find the toilet roll position has been changed when I've gone. I am OCD about toilet rolls grin

Over not under. At least DH and I are agreed on that, but why do I find it hanging down almost touching the floor after he has used it?

Septimia Mon 22-Jun-20 13:11:41

My inclination has always been to hang the toilet paper so that the end is at the back - so under.

DH always hangs it the other way.

I've spent over 40 years of marriage hanging it his way.

As I frequently say, it's more important that there's some there than which way round it's been hung!!

SueDonim Mon 22-Jun-20 13:20:36

At the front, otherwise you can‘t see the puppies properly!

Bluesky I’ve still got my loo roll stash from Brexit March 2019. That and my stash of groceries has been renamed my Pandemic Pantry. grin

Charleygirl5 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:20:42

Under for me. I may change yours if I was visiting!

TrendyNannie6 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:23:26

??no bluesky we only ever bought our usual amount

H1954 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:24:17

Ours is in a little cabinet with a slot for the paper, rather like a letter box, but is still has to be over on the spindle thingybob inside

TrendyNannie6 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:26:25

Yep I would be changing everyone’s to over, I have flowers on mine so if I had it under you wouldn’t see them, lol

TrendyNannie6 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:28:42

I must admit beechnut, I have been to house with the pointy bit at the end of the toilet roll, but I don’t do it myself, looks near though

TrendyNannie6 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:28:49

Neat

Smileless2012 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:33:27

I'm a front facing over not under type too. Also, if someone's torn off a piece and not left a neat edge, I have to neaten it; is that a bit obsessive?blush

Grandmafrench Mon 22-Jun-20 13:39:53

I do the same, Smileless and when I start a new one I have to tear off the glued first sheet and discard it! Standards are so important, aren't they? grin

Oh yes, that annoying "glued down" bit!!!!! And if it doesn't come off the first time I usually end up taking off several layers ??

PinkCakes Mon 22-Jun-20 13:43:45

front facing

sharon103 Mon 22-Jun-20 13:48:56

Front facing in our house.

ExD Mon 22-Jun-20 13:51:46

What pointy bit?
Surely you don't go to the trouble of folding it to a point like they insist on doing in some holiday hotels?
When I see someone's fiddled about with it I pull that sheet off and waste it. Ugh!
