Has All fools day (April 1st) moved to july?grin

As someone who is typical aries and fire sign? I won't be moving star sign.

I wonder if the Moon signs are also changing?
(Apparently my moon is in Cancer)
And of course fire, water, air and earth signs will also have to redefined

someone on lockdown has had too wsy toooo much time on their hands

Urmstongran

How can I no longer be a family-orientated, fussy Virgo and now be classed as a Leo ‘show-off’? Oh go on then .... ha! I’ll give it a whirl.
?

Just watch it, Urms - we'll find you on that beach... yes, I might even bring Phoenix .... so less of the funny remarks - since we do have a tendency to bite people. grin

Think you may have just put the sheep amongst the goats with this thread, Mick

seacliff Wed 15-Jul-20 16:08:02

It's all mad. I have always felt I have some traits from Libra, but I am still a water sign, don't care what "they" say. Just love the sea.

Maggiemaybe Wed 15-Jul-20 15:53:27

Another happy old goat here. I've been a bog standard Capricorn all my life and it's too late to switch now.

DH, on the other hand, does make a much better Capricorn than he ever did an Aquarian.... hmm

TrendyNannie6 Wed 15-Jul-20 15:10:39

Yep me too chewbacca

nanasam Wed 15-Jul-20 15:06:07

think

Who was the dictator that decided to change what we've understood to be our 'stars' for years and years and years?
Who does (s)he this (s)he is? Bloody cheek, if you ask me angry

JenniferEccles Wed 15-Jul-20 14:09:49

You are absolutely right Elegran!

After all we are all supposed to worship at the alter of diversity these days aren’t we?!

SueDonim Wed 15-Jul-20 13:49:59

Astrology is a load of bobbins! grin If there was any truth in it, everyone born on the same day would have the same character and lead the same life as their fellow birthday-sharers.

Rowantree Wed 15-Jul-20 13:29:44

Oh poo.
Who makes up this fairy stuff anyway?

When I was an angsty teenager I took them seriously, but haven't done that for many a long decade. And this sounds like a wind-up to me.

There's enough bollocks being talked by the current government as it is - why add to it? wink

Elegran Wed 15-Jul-20 13:16:54

Apparently it isn't new - Ophiochus was known about thousands of years ago. So were lots of other constellations (Aquila?! Scutum? Serpens?) but we don't hear about any of them. www.birminghamupdates.com/the-truth-behind-nasas-star-sign-change/

glammanana Wed 15-Jul-20 10:22:34

According to this I should be a Leo but for nearly 70yrs I've been a Virgo and don't intend to change have people got nothing better to do ??

EllanVannin Wed 15-Jul-20 10:17:05

If this is the case, I'm now not compatible with my previous birth sign grin ?

Elegran Wed 15-Jul-20 09:43:42

The original division of the visible stars into shapes, and the assignment of personalities to newborn babes according to which imagined shape was in a certain position at the moment of their birth was arbitrary to start with. NASA deciding that those divisions were wrong doesn't alter anyone's character.

They could equally have announced that study of the head of a pin under a microscope reveals space for twice the number of angels to dance there than was previously agreed by learned theologians.

Have you noticed that the personality descriptions under the various Zodiac signs never include a tendency toward grand larceny, gratuitous violence, mass murder and public self-exposure? Not very inclusive, are they, I wonder why?

Urmstongran Wed 15-Jul-20 09:20:47

I had enough internal faff when we changed from £sd in 1971. I’ll stick with the original thank you. I don’t believe them anyway. Unless it’s a good one.

Puzzler61

I accept what you say Mick & Mary
but in that case it shifts me to Gemini and I definitely don’t have the traits of Gemini. ?
I’m Cancer through and through.

Another Crab here - definitely not a Gemini!

Nanna58 Wed 15-Jul-20 09:07:14

Refuse to leave the Gemini camp!!! Have all,the traits, not changing for NASA!

SpringyChicken Wed 15-Jul-20 08:23:12

It’s all made up so makes no difference.

yggdrasil Wed 15-Jul-20 08:08:58

You can't have 13 signs. It is not divisible into 360 degrees

BBbevan Wed 15-Jul-20 05:26:02

I don't want to be an Ophiucus. What is that? I am a typical Sagittarian.

Callistemon Tue 14-Jul-20 22:55:47

I'm still the same.

But DH has changed. Interesting. He is more like his new star sign.

(If you believe in this.)

Callistemon Tue 14-Jul-20 19:18:30

gillybob

I’ve been a goat all my life . It’s too late to change now grin

You can't tether the mountain goat, gillybob!

I think I heard about this a few years ago.

Iam64 Tue 14-Jul-20 18:37:59

I'll have to google this Michael. I heard a brief piece on radio 4 news this morning. They talked about the Indian astrologers always having worked to different dates than Western astrologers
Indian/Hindu astrologers look carefully at the date and time of a baby's birth and predict their life pattern, their skills and attributes as well as the career they should follow. (or so a Hindu Indian astrologer told me)

Anniebach Tue 14-Jul-20 18:29:21

The thought of my two Leo sisters being Cancerians is so funny,

annodomini Tue 14-Jul-20 18:19:27

Why does Scorpio get just six days? Not that I care, but it is bizarre.
