Will I be picturesque or a patient?

Oh, I forgot to say everyone will be dressed up so that is why I was thinking of heels. X

HOnestly if wearing heels means you have to hold on to people I’d advise against it. It doesn’t look elegant if you’re clinging on to someone’s arm or staggering around ! Why not choose really pretty flat shoes or sandals instead.

I'm not sure what your question is as you say you can walk in heels.

I would just suggest that you don't put the wrap around your shoulders, granny-style!

I just meant hold on if need be, I would only hold on if in a lot of pain. X

For goodness sake no; don't wear high heels FlyingHandbags. You know how unsteady you are on your feet and you've already had 3 or 4 falls, trips and accidents in the past few weeks so don't risk another. Wear flat trainers.

My advice is to wear them in the car and to walk into the hall. Perhaps your father would let you hold on to his arm as you walk in. You could wear the heels for some of the photos too. I suggest also taking some pretty flats to change into during the rest of the party, and maybe when you leave, as by then I expect you'll be a bit tired. I know the feeling at the end of the evening, just want to take my heels off and wear comfy shoes. Keep safe and well. Sending you flowers. ?? ????

You asked for advice/opinions and thats what I gave FlyingHandbags. If you've already made up your mind to wear high heels, what was the point of asking for our thought on the matter? You've already fallen down stairs, had walls collapse on top of you, been unable to get up off a floor due to physical instability but, if you want to wear high heels to an event; do it. But please make sure that the "family gathering" is done in line with current advice on social distancing and that you don't slip up again. That would spoils things, wouldn't it?

Thanks for your advice. I hope you're well. I haven't bought any yet as I wanted to get some especially for the occasion. I am going to also buy some ballet flats in case the heels get too much.
My parents are going to be arriving separately from me as there won't be enough car space for me so I will be going from a relative's house. I am really looking forward to the party.

I haven't made up my mind at all. I also wouldn't put shoes before my health. The gathering won't be until it is completely safe. X

Oh, I've just realised it has a bit of the arm cut out. I mean a very tasteful, elegant, well-cut jumpsuit, and not huge heels, maybe 2 inches. X
