Another one here for the Ken Bruce fan club. I also like Johnnie Walker but none of the others.

Sorry, meant the News Quiz but the comment is still valid for the TV show!

I gave up on BBC radio when they ruined the Simon Mayo drivetime show at teatime by lumbering him with Jo Wiley and getting rid of a very successful team. I’m also sick of programmes of the likes of Have I Got News for You - full of sneering Islintonians. Once upon a time they had a pop at everything but sadly no more. On the other hand Johnnie Walker still rocks!

It is interesting that Ken Bruce's programme is the most listened to radio programme on UK radio . I used to listen to him on Radio Scotland before he went to radio 2 . Have to admit I would not listen to him now or any other radio 2 programme .

Well KB is 69y. I wonder if the BBC might put him on gardening leave now for sharing his views?

Jeremy Vine is as left wing as Attilla the HUN..in other words not even within a country ile of any left wing tendencies

My favourite DJ's on radio 2 are, Johnnie Walker, Ken Bruce, Craig Charles, Trevor Nelson, Cerys Matthews. I quite like Jeremy Vine.

Steve Wright and Zoe Ball are the two I would say need to go.

Do the BBC management perhaps think that the presenters need culling?

I like Tony Blackburn with all his daft jokes and great 60s music.

ZB needs to go.

I loathe Jeremy Vine but he surely isn't a leftie. He's an opinionated, self centred, arrogant metropolitan snob. Hear the way he speaks to people who appear or phone in to his show.
Friends who heard him as an after dinner speaker report he was rude and dismissive about the people who listen and call into his lunch time topical phone in show.

I listen to Johnnie Walker on Sunday afternoon. He plays great music, interviews his guests in a friendly manner and is an all round good radio DJ

I often listen to Jeremy Vine when I'm gardening - especially in the greenhouse. I've never thought of him as being a 'leftie' though. His views always come across as being well balanced to me.

I agree that Ken Bruce is Radio 2.

Love johnnie Walker only on at the weekend but he still makes me smile. Like Ken Bruce and of course I still miss terry wogan with his wit and fun. Not keen on vine or Zoe ball rather listen to local radio than them.

Agree with you re Ken Bruce - he's great! Not fussed on Zoe Ball either, but please leave Jeremy alone! Love Jeremy Vine! Don't really understand the comment about him being a leftie, if anything he's seems to be more right wing these days. Having said that, what's wrong with being a leftie anyway? At least lefties want a fair and equal society unlike our present government who are only concerned with the elite.

Ken Bruce is a superb broadcaster, an assett to the BBC. I have listened to his shows for years, and have absolutely no idea of his political views.

I completely agree re Vine and Ball. Vine is a complete disgrace and the sooner he is sacked the better.

Urmstongran Tue 21-Jul-20 19:06:42

I like KB.

Sir Kenneth of Bruce! He's the best presenter at the BBC by far - the management should start listening to what he says, he's been there long enough to know what he's talking about.

Zoe Ball and Jeremy Vine both need sacking. Ball is useless and Vine for being the biggest leftie on the BBC.
