Terrible relationship with DIL - am I the problem?
When is a royal tour, not a royal tour?
Significant rise in both anti-semitism and Islamophobia
Good Morning Everyone,
Its clear blue sky over Brackley this morning .
My usual day of housework ,and then get the bus into Buckingham for a short while .
Once the bus services show signs of improving which looks like next week , but we will see.
I am also looking ahead to watching cycling on TV which is live as well ,some racing has started and have followed the results .
Mind you locally , we have the first of 2 rounds of F1 at Silverstone this weekend , it will probably be one of quietest events with no crowds or helicopters overhead in abundance .
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning Michael and all GNs. The sun was shining when I got up but now it has changed its mind. We had a lot of rain yesterday but it dried up in the afternoon, so I dragged Himself out for a walk - during which, at the point of no return, we had a lot of rain again! DD and her menfolk are coming for a roast tomorrow, so shopping to do today, then three more rows to do on the dreaded cardigan and it will be finished! It sat in a bag for two years half done, so I suppose something useful has come out of lockdown!
Have a good safe day folks.
Good morning, sunny here which is good after yesterday's rain and chilliness. Making corgette soup, (glut at the allotment) then a walk with some of my upholstery group. Will be going to the allotment this afternoon to pick more courgettes and blackberries.
Good morning from a bright but very windy NE.
DH has a telephone consultation with his Oncologist today, that is mid afternoon so not going anywhere.
A successful chat with nice young man from the bank and sorted out several things yesterday afternoon. We have a call centre, for the bank, just down the road but the man I spoke to was sitting in Bournemouth at the other end of the country.
DD is on her way back to Belgium after spending her holiday with her aunt. She has helped her buy a smart phone and set it up so she is now in the 21st century with the rest of us.
Yesterday would have been their wedding anniversary, she said it helped to have company and she found a card that her DH had bought in advance.
I feel your frustration gilly, how hard is it to do testing in one centre rather than two ?
Good Morning All x
April weather today with sun now and again and a strong breeze blowing, showers in between.
It's all or nothing here. Yesterday as the gas-check man was here checking everything and talking, the phone went and it was my brother and as we enjoyed our conversation there was a knock on the door and it was an expected parcel.
I couldn't believe that one minute it was all quiet then the next everything everything at once. Typical.
Like waiting for a bus and 3 come together
Windy last night and I could hear a gate banging, it's still at it so I'll do some inspecting when I go to the local shop. I could hear all kinds of bangs and knocks, such high winds in July !
At last I can finish hoovering today and actually put some polish on the furniture instead of flicking it with the duster. That'll keep me out of mischief. Not much else given this bleak weather.
Hope Marydoll doesn't feel too washed out today. What a performance to have to go through, just a waiting game now.
I noted that Spangler is near the Rocky Mountains in Montana ? How lovely. Not so lovely about the pot-holes though, must be the country terrain, poor car.
Thinking of Gilly and her long-standing problems, nearly a year of them with this bloomin' virus in between. Things have got to pick up surely ! x
Hope our absent friends are alright too.
Pantglas, Urmston,Grandmafrench and Bellasnana---please send some sun and warmth to the NW here
I'm fed up of wearing jumpers.
Breakfast is calling now so stay well and safe everyone.xx
I was supposed to get to “that place” early today but I haven’t even left the house yet. Waiting for a call back on DH’s mobile to sort the mess of 2 appointments at the same time in different towns .
I ❤️ Your posts EV I always especially look out for them.
Just to say Spangler isn’t in the USA he’s in the New Forest. The joke was about Montana’s roads.
??
Good morning Mick and all
Blue sky and warm here in S E Essex. We are waiting the arrival of the 6 month old and five year GSs as we are on Granny/Grandpa duty today. Dippy Eggs ordered for breakfast?
Take care Marydoll ,
Spangler the potholes in Kenya are like craters, not unusual to see cars being towed/pulled out of them!!!
My fingers are still crossed gillybob ?
Thinking of all absent posters ??
Keep safe and well folks ?♀️
Stressy start to the day for you dear gillybob let’s just hope it ends on a high.
?
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning from the sunny Scottish Borders. Why don't all those people demanding summer holidays on the costas come here!
that is a joke btw but with a dash of seriousness.
You couldn't make it up Gillybob . The appointments simultaneously.! Someone thinks they are being very clever but at least he has an appointment at last. Yippee!!
Dear Marydoll I am sick sorry you have had no relief with this treatment. Have you had a chance to talk to the lovely retired consultant about it?
Our DGD begins school in August too, all being well, and I hope the cardi I am knitting won't be too enormous. I keep telling myself they grow quickly..... I had better get a move on with that.
Have a lovely day as best you can everyone.
Good morning Mick and the GM team from a sunny east London.
Not much on the cards today.
I was planning to make a lamb bhuna for supper, but if it’s hot today that won’t work. I am defrosting some mince and could make hamburgers and salad.
I keep receiving nice messages from friends on WhatsApp, normally we’d meet and have lunch or go to the cinema or something nice. Of course as I’m still shielding all I can do is make a list of people to meet, once I can go out again. Unfortunately I have very little confidence in the Govt’s advice to shielders.
Gilly I don’t know whether I am emotionally ready to watch the drama/doc ‘Anthony Walker’. I find I get upset so easily these days, I would need a box of tissues.
Urmston that fizz will taste even better, as it’s paid for by your first pension payment. Cheers! ?
NfkD enjoy the sleepover with your precious GS.
Have a good day all. ? to Bluesapphire, Cherry, Dragonfly and all who need them. ?
Good morning from Shetland where it’s raining. Heavily.
It’s our last full day here so we were hoping for a last walk but maybe it will just sitting adding to the crochet squares. Thinking Especially of Marydoll and praying the treatment kicks in well this time, and Gilly ?
And for everyone else with problems ?
Take care and stay safe everyone ?
It certainly will Nortsat ?
Good morning from Shropshire.Blowing a gale here as well Ellan?
Oh gilly what a start to the day.Hope you get the appointments sorted and I still have my fingers crossed for the order.
Marydoll,I hope the side effects aren’t as severe and you are able to carry on with the treatment.
Thinking of all our absent good morningers and all with illness and worries?
Good morning all from a sunny but very breezy Perthshire where I had planned to do some power washing today but I have decided to put that on hold for a calmer day as I could end up drenching myself in such strong winds.
Attached is a photo of our remaining swan and her cygnet moving away from the pesky heron who visits daily now which has already taken two cygnets. Foxes got her partner and three cygnets. I have been out shouting at the heron to bugger off and it has gone for the moment. Nature can be so cruel.
Hope those struggling with difficult times have a better day.
Our lovely Norfolk sunny morning is deteriorating - the wind has filled in again and clouds are scudding in, luckily DiL is running late so DGS and I will fall back on his second favourite thing - shopping for food! He's a growing lad!
I do hope your chaotically busy day falls into place Gilly!
Good morning from sunny East Sussex, been up since 5 am house work done, just got back from Sainsbury's best time to do the shopping?time for a cup of tea read the paper. Got some ladies coming over to look at some candles I import from the States (Bath & Body Works).
Have a wonderful day everyone?
Good morning all from a sunny but breezy mid-Notts. Marydoll make sure you take it steady today. I got my tear ducts cauterised yesterday afternoon- it was fine apart from the injection of the local anaesthetic!! I'm pleased it is done despite having a swollen bruised eye today!! Mr BA is on tea duty with one his lovely chillis so I going to have a restful day. How everyone has the best day possible and please stay safe x
Good morning from east London, sky keeps changing here from sun to cloud so I have on my typical summer attire of shorts, vest and thick jumper to be prepared. This ensemble will have my waterproof added when I go off to book club shortly; we’re having an outdoor meeting, safely distanced, our first gathering since February. Managed to play some tennis yesterday and got my video done for the choir although GD1 was determined to improvise and do her own thing. I just feel whoever is doing the editing will use what they want of it.
Have a good day.
Good Morning from Wivenhoe. The sky is so blue with puffy shite clouds. It’s breezy and as I sit here with a coffee and two ginger nut biscuits I’m feeling good. Cue that Nina Simone dong.......
Sorry..... white I repeat white.
?????
Oh, Urmston. Fancy me taking it that he lived in Montana.FGS
Gormless is my middle name at times as I vividly remember Spangler talking about the New Forest yesterday ( rolls eyes )
