I agree, outside could have been worse but floors, even with carpets or rugs can feel hard also.MacS must have been very concerned. This old age lark is really not helping any of us.

Charleyg Tara would have landed gracefully. It seems that "our age" we do see life from a different perspective. Falls knock our confidence. I appear to totter these days. How come that I did hill walking for years with ne'er a stumble.

Daisyboots, Please see your dentist. If are having alendronic acid infusions. Any dental problem must be checked immediately.
I was had a mouth full of ulcers, a side effect of my medication and when I phoned the surgery, a GP called me back and advised me to ask for an urgent dental appointment immediately. The biggest danger is if you need an extraction.
My dentist was adament about not ignoring any dental problems, due to necrosis. I now have three monthly appointments.

Thank you, Marydoll. When the consultant put me on Zoledronic acid infusions, I was told to be aware of dental problems. Two teeth that have now lost all fillings are very fragile and there is little left. The dentist knows what the situation is. Trouble with me is, I keep Googling the very condition that I'm terrified of. I even dream that my jaw is crumbling.
Virtual hugs to you. I often think of that wonderful Christmas gathering - the one when we first met - and you seduced that unsuspecting Santa.

Just popping in to say that tomorrow is the day Henry goes into hospital.We are looking after Matilda.Only DD is allowed in with Henry so our son in law has said he will sit in the car in the car park in case he is needed.When Henry was born by the time the hospital called he didn’t have time to get there so he is not taking any chances.

I will update you all as soon as I know anything.

Charlie cat has reached the age where some of his claws do not retract properly. When he jumps off “his” footstool, the claws catch in the carpet and he falls over. ?. It happens every time. It keeps us amused! Little does he know he is off to the cattery for safe keeping tomorrow - we have visiting dogs.

Am off to do battle with a ton of unwanted olive tree growth and to weed the area whilst it’s still shady. This is a brief visit. A middle-aged lady in our village, a driving instructor living with and caring for her mother, has died. A UTI took hold and resulted in pneumonia and kidney failure. there is a dark cloud of sadness hanging over our lovely village.

Sometimes, just sometimes, I can't help feeling that Woody Allen's "Life is hard ..... and then you die" phrase is all too relevant. What very sad news and what a monstrous blow for the lady's Mum. We are reminded constantly that whatever life throws at us, however we strive or toddle through our days, we must never take it for granted and seize the day must be our mantra - as we squeeze every last drop of goodness out of life while we can.

In case I don't get back here today, sending hope that everyone is well and is seizing Tuesday - and every day. Onwards and upwards, lovely Kitchen folk, and don't forget to smile. (It confuses the hell out of people!)

I`ve been to the hospital today for a bone density scan. What that will throw up I`ve no idea.

Thank you for all your good wishes for Henry.He was such a brave stoical boy.Lots of needles but he just took it in his stride.The results show he has a couple of severe allergies.It was pretty much what we had worked out.The paediatrician has said he mustn’t have any dairy or eggs in any form for twelve months then they will test his reactions again and depending on his reactions they may try to introduce them.He will be reviewed in November when he may be tested for more sensitivities.I have attached a picture in the waiting room before he was turned into a human pin cushion?

Glad your suspicions have been confirmed Susan and now you know how to proceed. Fingers crossed for a year’s time. DGS was dairy intolerant but has grown out of it.
Smug here after a day of housework prior to visitors tomorrow. I was a bit over enthusiastic squeezing the mop and broke the top part of the mop bucket. Out early tomorrow for a new one!

soop, so sorry to hear about the death of one of your neighbours. A loss to her family, the community and you. And yet another fall. Oh do take better care of yourself. I well know how shattering it is to one's self-confidence, not to mention the discomfort and pain of bruising.
susan, it's good to know that Henry has a clear diagnosis. I hope it will be easy to keep him off eggs and dairy, though when his first birthday comes around, he will need to have a vegan cake! But make sure he doesn't try to eat his one candle as my GS did last week - and it was his 15th.
