I don't know what the answer is but that can't be any more valid than women not reporting rape in case they are not believed.

The rush to judgement by some is appalling.....and no, it doesn’t matter a fig what the accused’s politics are.There have been cases where it’s a Labour MP, a Lib Dem MP Conservative MP and SNP’s too, and very few on GN are willing to wait for the police procedure to take place before they condemn.

I agree, it is more usual for rapes to not be reported because the justice system seems to be loaded against women - the victims treated as criminals in some cases and much needs to change.
Rape is a weapon, often used in war and is horrendous.

That does not mean that there are vindictive women (and men too) who will lie for whatever reasons.

Thinking back over the years it makes me sick to my stomach the power men can wield over women and vice versa, using sex and violence and maybe ( sorry thread crossing here) I’m a stronger an more feminist person than I realize myself.

Experience has taught us the way rapists behave. It is essential that he is kept distant from potential witnesses and intimidating them.
