I have just put the opened tin of dog food in the microwave in the belief I was heating up my mug of tea. There were actual flames inside.

Once when going to my mums, there was an odd smell.

It came from the microwave!

Looking inside it was all brown burnt discolored and stunk!

Mentioned it to my mum and she had no idea what it was as she had been out etc.

But few weeks later mum wanted the Heatbag( the ones filled with beads or something) anyway couldnt find it and dad said nothing!

Apparently he had put the heat bag in the microwave for goodness knows how long and it had set on fire!!

It was not spoke about again hmm but I got mum a new microwave

Years ago, I worked in the local health board offices. We had no canteen, as it was actually a nurse's home on the top floors.

All we had was vending machine and a microwave. The head of finance's secretary put an uncooked egg, still in it's shell in the microwave to cook.
The rest is history, as nearly was the secretary.
