...A ladyshave...
Hi all,
I have very very fine and slow growing hair on my legs and underarms, which up until recently I hacked bits from my legs with tamed with a disposable razor.

I always seemed to cut my legs when shaving (probably because I always seemed to do it in a rush), so yesterday I decided to buy a ladyshave, to see if that would be better, it arrived today and is absolutely amazing!
It took under 5 minutes and there was absolutely no cuts or discomfort! (My mother also came in handy to check the back of my legs for any bits that I missed).

I thought I would share with you all in case someone was looking for something similar. Hope you're all well. X

MerylStreep I must make a strong case for 3AAAs, undoubtedly the unsung heroes of the battery world.

I love them and have quite a collection rolling around in a drawer somewhere.

Are they collectable?

They're probably my favourite battery. No others come close do they? ?

Now we're getting to the exciting stuff: batteries ?
Doesn't get much better than this on a Friday night.

2 AAs if anyone is interested.

It's very old
But not as old as me.

Apparently the batteries are ok, said DH, he said I didn't turn it on properly

I am not that technically confused

Lisagran Fri 07-Aug-20 21:59:51

Sorry, forgot the X

Lisagran Fri 07-Aug-20 21:59:13

Really, lemongrove - you think you can find somewhere more exciting than this?! Well, words fail me - this is the most (no The Most) thrilling thread I’ve ever read. Poteen? Pay, no stimulants needed on this thread, it’s just intoxicating reading......

lemongrove Fri 07-Aug-20 21:54:18

Just popped in....but am going back to The Argy now....anyone care for a pint of poteen?

I've used one for years as I dislike having my legs waxed (ouch) found an epilator was agony to use shock

The battery was going last time so my legs are piebald but I'm not going anywhere.

Is it one with a rechargeable battery you have, or a 2x AA type? X

No, I just like to share in case it could help someone. X

I love my Ladyshave! Does anyone else remember the pink razors that you had to unscrew to put razor blades in? They were what we 'ladies' had to use before disposable razors. How dangerous were they? I still bear the scar.

I remember... horrible things... X

lilypollen Fri 07-Aug-20 18:52:23

Tabbycat, they were called Nymph. They did pale blue and green too!

Do you know what TMI means?

FlyingHandbag Fri 07-Aug-20 18:41:19

Nortsat

As I read your post FH an advert for Phillips razors popped up on my screen.

I suspect these large companies have algorithms which search out key words, then they focus their advertising accordingly.

That's odd... it makes you wonder how they get this information. X
