Am I the only one who had to look up that word? Never heard it before confused. Glad it exists though - that lovely, very distinctive smell needed its very own descriptive word smile

We've had several claps of thunder over the last couple of days - the accompanying rain this morning was absolutely torrential. Wonderful to watch from the safety of the living room - though now I wish I'd just gone out and stood in it!

Callistemon mine seem to have multiple heads as well ? mutants!

Lemongrove very sultry here yesterday, and Friday and Saturday for that matter! Storms earlier, but sunny skies again now!

I love the smell when rain has fallen after a hot dry spell.

Oh! Well your are bigger than mine ? ????
Only 6' 6"

My head started aching a couple of hours ago, sign of a thunder storm, it was very humid too, but seems to have passed by and there's a fresh breeze.

I can’t smell rain ......if only! We are desperate for a break in this sultry heat.

Callistemon "judgement day" is August 15th, but one of mine is starting to "go over" so I measured it yesterday. 8ft 6" ( from soil level to the top of the petals), and submitted photo and measurements.

I've got another one nearly as big, might be bigger by 15th!

Here in North Devon it has been thunder and rain all day, until about an hour ago. I know the storm has passed, as the mogs have decided to go out! grin

thunderstorms oh, really?
We haven't had any yet although it seemed thundery earlier today.

How lovely!

My sense of smell is not what it was sad

Did you win with the sunflowers? Mine are going over a bit now.

Lovely! Just went out to check the sunflowers after a morning of thunderstorms, and there it was.
