Didn't want to post this, but as some one has posted that flour could be in short supply, heard on the radio that Tomato sauce could be in short supply.
To compensate though there will be plenty of nuts around.

Esspee Thu 27-Aug-20 14:20:07

There are certainly plenty of nuts in my area. That’s why the coronavirus figures are spiking.

sharon103 Thu 27-Aug-20 14:28:47

Plenty of nuts round here too.grin
Don't like tomato sauce so I won't be fighting over it. We prefer Daddies brown sauce.

EllanVannin Thu 27-Aug-20 15:36:59

Tomato chutney's nicer--home-made.
Always a plentiful supply of nuts !

felice Thu 27-Aug-20 16:12:11

I read that the shortage was caused by a flood in the factory that makes Ketchup.
It seems Wetherspoons have run out. Oh dearwink

sodapop Thu 27-Aug-20 16:19:22

Ugh disgusting stuff, no great loss there.

Laughterlines Thu 27-Aug-20 16:24:28

BlueSky Thu 27-Aug-20 19:06:40

Better stock up on ketchup then!

TheFrugalPiggy Thu 27-Aug-20 19:11:11

I love ketchup! What on earth will I put on my bread when I have a fish finger sandwich?

lemongrove Thu 27-Aug-20 19:40:04

Did you have to mention fish finger sandwiches??I want one
Immediately!
Better panic buy all the ketchup we can.

Callistemon Thu 27-Aug-20 19:43:13

I'm rather posh.
I only like HP.

lemongrove Thu 27-Aug-20 19:46:51

That’s because you are a delicious torykipper ?

mcem Thu 27-Aug-20 20:13:18

Don't like ketchup but will soon have lots of green tomato chutney!

sodapop Thu 27-Aug-20 20:54:30

That sounds much better mcem enjoy it.

jenpax Thu 27-Aug-20 21:02:36

Can’t stand ketchup or most bottled sauces would be put out though if there was a sweet chilli sauce shortage ?

BlueSky Thu 27-Aug-20 21:05:50

Going to add 10 bottles to my order! Only joking! grin

BlueBelle Thu 27-Aug-20 21:10:57

Callistemon Thu 27-Aug-20 22:29:39

That’s because you are a delicious torykipper
The Houses of Parliament has an eclectic mix, just like my sauce. I can remember what it used to say on the label (more or less)

Cette sauce d'haute qualité est une mélange de fruits orientaux, d'épices et de vinaigre malte ...

Well, something like that.

no problem i will have toast!

Hetty58 Fri 28-Aug-20 09:39:22

All very minor and easily substituted. It's funny how, in the middle of a pandemic, with the real danger of illness and death, people fret over inconveniences!

TerriBull Fri 28-Aug-20 09:42:28

Bah! just been shopping to Marks where are the damn nuts???there were a few but not the ones I wanted, hazelnuts sad Plenty of tomatoes in their natural state, personally I can live without tomato sauce, I only have it in the house for the grandchildren.

Neilspurgeon0 Fri 28-Aug-20 09:49:01

Oh TerriBull you are about three weeks early, hazelnuts, known as Kent Cobs when I was a boy, are forming on the trees but just a bit too early to harvest them just yet, especially if you want some for ( shh ) C*******s

Callistemon Fri 28-Aug-20 09:52:34

The squirrel is harvesting hazelnuts already and storing his stash all round the garden. The ones he drops look very under-ripe.

Nuts, whole hazel nuts
C******s take them and they cover them in chocolate

When I saw the heading, I thought someone was about to make a satirical political comment! wink

Aepgirl Fri 28-Aug-20 10:08:27

All this talk about a shortage of this or that, or a price hike for something else, just makes the hoarders rush to buy every last packet of the item, and deprive others.

Where do they keep it all?
