soop his name is Teddie and he is an Australian Doodle ?

Grandmafrench Mon 19-Oct-20 17:39:34

And what a dear little Teddie he is! Put him together with Lin 's little Sam and you would have what my late Mum would call, "a couple of time wasters". She was never able to resist the charms of kittens or puppies! Me neither!

Just popping in to say that I am TOYA but things are a strange here.

DH is taking his pre colonoscopy stuff and disappearing very quickly on a regular basis.

In other medical news - I think I mentioned that DS2 had to have a Covid test as someone at work had had a positive test. DS2 doesn't work very closely with him but the chap DS1 gives a lift to everyday, does. DS1 came to see us the day before his test. DS2 has tested positive but his lift tested negative, as did dh and ds2's partner and son. Not sure how that works!

So medical matters have occupied an awful lot of time and WhatsApp space today.

I'll be back tomorrow to do a proper catch up!

Nannytopsy Mon 19-Oct-20 19:20:06

Sorry that Covid has come so close Kitty and I hope your DS remains well. Best wishes for Mr Lester’s test. We did a lot of soil shifting today and our new planters are full and some are even planted. Tomorrow I start shifting gravel which is a different matter altogether! My dodgy knee is dodgier than ever tonight. DH is extending his repertoire this evening by making paella - yummy!
Glad you are making progress Ann - keep it up!

Greyduster Mon 19-Oct-20 20:30:26

Doodle Mon 19-Oct-20 21:39:05

Glad you are feeling a bit better ann and thank you for your kind wishes.
Cornergran good news about the test results. Glade you enjoyed your lunch and had a good trip out.
greyduster thank you for the sultana and walnut bread. Very nice.....another slice, don’t mind if I do ?
phoenix I certainly hope so. This has gone on long enough. I will prepare the bunting
grannygravy that is an extremely beautiful little puppy. He doesn’t look much like me though .....ah I see he is from the Australian side of the family ?
kitty sorry about your son. Hope he is not poorly with it. How strange he has it and the other chap doesn’t.
Hope your DH gets on ok with his colonoscopy.
Take care of that knee nanytopsy mine have taken an aversion to stairs recently.
soop hoping those scan and results are fine. Take care of you both.

soop good luck tomorrow when MacS goes for his appointment.

Nice to see MawB is out of the kennel. I am not sure if Hattie will have noticed.

Doodle Mon 19-Oct-20 22:04:16

Is Maw out Charley? I do hope so.

Grandmafrench Mon 19-Oct-20 23:05:34

Wishing hard for good results for MacS and sorry about your totally weird diet, MrLester - I thought it was very dull and then loathsome, but in order for them to get good photos, you need to have squeaky clean innards....so you have to think it'll all be worth it!

I've been doing cupboards soop - and lots of throwing away - and DH has moved shelves within those cupboards. It's beginning to look very ordered. After an early start/visit to the Endocrinologist where I was happy to hear all is well and I remain on the very lowest dose of Thyroxine; and she was happy to hear how happy I am this year - in spite of blasted Covid and our incarceration, I was very fired up for the rest of the day - hence the cupboard clearing.

Tomorrow is strip-a-dog-day, when my lovely Griffon, Chloe, will be turned into something scented and beautiful (for a couple of days!) by our lovely mobile dog groomer. She's wonderful with the dog, turns up on time with all her necessary tools and potions on a special trolley, sits the dog on the garden table and then goes indoors via another entrance to shower her. All of the random bits of flying fur remain outside and I only have to clean the shower and sanitise afterwards and when she's finished. Also - as it's October - I shall have to launder 3 big dog towels, rather than let the dog chase about in the garden until she's dry in 10 minutes.

So glad you're doing well, Ann - and taking care. You'll be a new person before you know it - and a painfree one at that.

Shocked to hear about Mr Doodle. Hopefully he's on the mend now after your careful nursing. Not long to go now, Synonymous - well, that's what you must tell yourselves. How wonderful when it's finished. Hopefully a nice ending to a very unpleasant and harrowing chapter in your lives.

Sleep well, Kitcheners. And to all in pain or with worries, may that sleep heal you and give you back your get up and go for tomorrow. Nighty night and a French hug.

Morning Kitcheners. Just dropping in to wish MacS all the very best for today.

All good wishes for everyone going through difficult times.

I’ve given up baking as for the first month of lockdown I ate my body weight in cake and chocolate every day. I’ve managed to shift the excess weight but I know myself and I don’t do moderation so I’ll just leave this pot of coffee on the stove. DH makes excellent coffee. grin

Nannytopsy Tue 20-Oct-20 10:02:19

Thanks for the coffee Baubles but it was a bit wet without a piece of cake!

kittylester Tue 20-Oct-20 10:34:21

Thank you all for your good wishes for dh. I'm off to collect him in a minute.

Best wishes for MacS too today.

MawB2 Tue 20-Oct-20 10:51:36

<Whispering very quietly>
Good morning Kitcheners.
I have missed you all and could write a book with all the things I have been unable to say over the last 2 weeks, but won’t (phew!)
Suffice it in the meantime to send fantastically warm wishes to all with medical issues or procedures or to those with family or other personal worries.
Fortunately Hattie was a great comfort to me and as you can see she is completely zorsted with the effort. ?

dragonfly46 Tue 20-Oct-20 10:56:32

Great to see you back Maw you have been missed.

Fingers crossed for Mr Lester and MacSporran.

Marydoll Tue 20-Oct-20 11:15:27

So glad to see you back, Maw!

Fingers crossed for MacSoprran and Mr Lester.

Grandmabatty Tue 20-Oct-20 11:24:45

MawB great to have you and Hattie back with us! You were sorely missed!

Puzzler61 Tue 20-Oct-20 11:37:58

Aha, I spy Hattie - MawB, welcome back ?
You’re here for the next instalment of our Ghost story, I hope you’ve read the first 2 chapters? ? ?

Susan56 Tue 20-Oct-20 11:38:32

Lovely to see you back Maw?

Hope all goes well today for MacSporran and Mr Lester.

TOYA

Puzzler61 Tue 20-Oct-20 11:40:35

Good morning all, wishing a better day for those who had a rubbish one yesterday, sunshine for those who had rain, and better health and good test results for all with medical issues. ?

Callistemon Tue 20-Oct-20 11:41:15

Hello MawB2, welcome back.
You have been missed - have you and Hattie been on a marathon walk?

Best wishes to everyone and I hope McS and Mr L will be fine ?

Charleygirl5 Tue 20-Oct-20 12:00:29

MawB that was a pleasant surprise seeing a lovely phot of my favourite dog. Please rest because no doubt you will want to do so much.
kitty delighted to hear that Mr. Lester must have been first in the queue so he can now go home and rest. I was exhausted after my trip.

Good luck MacS.

My life has been shortened I think. Recently returned from the vet and Tara has put on a little weight and has had more blood taken. I will know the result tomorrow. I nearly fainted when given the bill.

Puzzler61 Tue 20-Oct-20 12:26:24

You’ll probably have a PB win this week to counterbalance that big bill Charley. Tara IS WORTH IT ?

cornergran Tue 20-Oct-20 12:51:06

Ouch charlie, suggest you and Tara rest this afternoon, hope she appreciates you smile. You know she’s worth it.

Good to see you, and Hattie maw. Settle back in, we’ve missed you.

Love to all, especially those with medical stuff going on. TOYA

soop Tue 20-Oct-20 12:52:16

Welcome back, Maw and Hattie. Us lot have missed you both.

MacS's scan is on Thursday. The sooner it's over, the better.

Charleyg I whole heartedly agree with Puzzler. Tara is worth it.
