soop and MacSporran happy anniversary. Lovely photos. You look very glamorous as usual ?
Bellanonna happy 80th for yesterday. Hope you had a lovely time.
Charleygirl rudeness and sarcasm. ? No. you are our Deputy Head at school how could this be. If anyone causes you trouble I will call all the girls together to sort them out. ?

Doodle Thu 01-Oct-20 19:32:40

Maw hope Hattie is ok.
I have brought in some extra cushions for the norty step as you and Charleygirl and ann seem to be sitting there. ?

Susan56 Thu 01-Oct-20 20:09:38

Lovely photo of you both soop, absolutely perfect❤️

Grandmabatty Thu 01-Oct-20 20:10:24

That is a beautiful photo Soop. You are a lovely couple.

Charleygirl5 Thu 01-Oct-20 20:44:39

I agree, it is a lovely photo.

Doodle much appreciated- these steps are hard. I did ask how long a final warning lasted but no reply so I will sit quietly and watching.

Another early night I think.

cornergran Thu 01-Oct-20 20:51:22

You both look so happy soop, a fitting reminder of a very special day.

The norty step sounds as if it could be fun with ann, mawb and charley there. Make yourselves comfortable with doodles cushions, I’ve left some lemon and almond cake and excellent hot chocolate to sustain you.

Everything crossed here for your operation ann, positive vibes coming your way.

Take care everyone and please, be good.

Greyduster Thu 01-Oct-20 21:00:07

I think it could be a long time in the wilderness, more than the 40 days and 40 nights of Lent

Doodle Thu 01-Oct-20 21:09:18

Hmm I’d better bring some sleeping bags, dog and cat food, a flask of coffee and some chocolate then. ?

MawB2 Thu 01-Oct-20 21:14:50

????

Charleygirl5 Thu 01-Oct-20 21:38:17

Doodle are you any good at applying liquid medicine to a cat who has her own ideas about everything? Thank you all for the food and coffee, much appreciated.

Hellogirl1 Thu 01-Oct-20 22:37:22

First of all, a belated, but heartfelt Happy Anniversary to the Soopful pairsome. Lovely photos as well. Love to you both.
I hope that Hattie gets the (rather expensive) all clear that you are hoping for Maw.
I`ve hardly been on my laptop this week, my living room (not posh enough to be called a lounge) is being decorated, and I hoped it would be finished by the time Lynne came home, but it`s now looking doubtful. They are delivering a hospital bed on Monday, so all my furniture that`s stacked in her room must come back in here, but there`s still the ceiling and 2 walls needing a 2nd coat, most of the glossing needs doing, plus 2 walls papering and coving to go up. Do you think we`ll be ready by Sunday night? I don`t think so!!
Lynne`s appointment for today has been postponed till Monday, due to a shortage of doctors.
Oh, Happy Anniversary to you as well Izabella and your CH.
Had an Amazon delivery today, 3 parcels. Their policy is now to put parcels down near the door, knock, then stand well back until door is opened and parcels taken in. But with my dodgy back I couldn`t bend far enough, so he ended up coming back to pick `em up and hand them to me.

It is a wild and windy day here. Tara has left the country and I apparently have to be good so I promise, no rudeness at present.

I have won £25 x2 from my premium bonds so that put a smile on my face.

I have to make an early start so I am off.

Yet again, MANY thanks for your kind messages. blush

Norty step peoples...hands up. What's been going on? Who started it? How long are you banned from wherever you've been causing eyebrows to raise and fingers to wag? I turn my bag and go out celebrating, then return to discover an entire crowd of butter wouldn't melt in mouth kitcheners huddled on the steps. hmm What am I to do with you lot. wink

Charleyg I'm chuffed for you. Well done. x

Hellogirl1 Has the extra care package been agreed for when Lynne returns home? You really do need additional assistance.
We said hello to David yesterday. It was a beautiful day.

Last night's sky was lovely too.

soop Fri 02-Oct-20 14:21:00

Should have typed...turn my back. Not bag.

Belated wishes for you Wedding Anniversary soop, pleased you had a good day.

And belated Happy Birthday to Bellanona.

dragonfly46 Fri 02-Oct-20 15:26:25

soop my doctors don't seem to want to let me go!
My surgeon was shocked that my radiotherapy was cancelled due to Covid and is going to ask at the MDT meeting if it can still go ahead. She says she wants me to live another 20 years! If the oncologist refuses she is going to operate again to remove all the lymph nodes. It was not what I wanted to hear but I know she has my best interests at heart.
My oncologist is German and my surgeon Greek so we shall see which nationality wins out. Meanwhile I still have a mammogram every year - due in November and occasional X-rays and scans.

I hope you get your house in order for Lynne coming home and that you get the proper help Callgirl.

A lovely day here. Cold but bright. I went to the local retail park with dd and dgs to get his feet measured and to buy some clothes for him as dd was using up vouchers. When we went back to her house, dgs went for a nap and we sat and blethered and it was just lovely to chat. This afternoon I have done very little and enjoyed doing it!

Bellanonna Fri 02-Oct-20 16:46:06

Many thanks to all who wished me a happy birthday. It really was. Countless cards all screaming “you are 80” at me, so I have to accept that news. I don’t feel it and I’m told I don’t look it. I think having little grandchildren might help, My GS is 8 today and I collected him on foot from school. This involved a 30 minute walk home (DH dropped me off) and we had a lot of fun on the way, walking in puddles (he did that too) and singing. Happy weekend everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 02-Oct-20 17:06:02

It has been raining continuously here since middle of the night. The GC have been collected my feet are up!

I think I am probably a naughty step contender....oops!!!!

We are meeting DD and the GC later at our local child friendly Indian restaurant for an early meal. Her partner flew to mainland Europe due to family illness, unfortunately the family member has died, not sure when he is returning but he will stay at his sisters to quarantine for two weeks when he returns (his sister is with him abroad).

So many troubles and illnesses which all seem to be more complicated and stressful due to flipping Covid angry

soop Fri 02-Oct-20 17:09:30

dragonfly, whatever further treatments the experts recommend, are solely for your benefit. It is heartening to hear that, in spite of Covid, your needs are being recognised. flowers

Grandmabatty your day sounds ideal. Simple pleasures always gladden the heart. sunshine

Bellanonna A lovely account of your day. Splashing in puddles (together with a child) is my idea of FUN.

Rafa is playing tennis. I feel that I should be there to support him. I shall take to my umpire's chair and sup tea. wink

Until tomorrow. smile moon x
