Thanks for the poem Rufus. It brought to mind a walk I did last week in a remote area near where I live. There was a burnt out cottage and I wondered if it was the work of the Welsh Nationalists who burnt out cottages owned by the English as second homes. It was quite a long time ago that they were active in that way.
Most of North Wales in lockdown now.

Mix Up at the Hospital
Man went to hospital for a circumcision, but because of a mix up, he ended up having a complete sex change.
All of the doctors and nurses had gathered around his bed as he was waking up so they could give him the bad news.
Naturally, he went to pieces and started crying when they explained what had happened to him.
"Oh no!" he moaned, "this means I'll never be able to experience an erection ever again!"
"Of course you will," one of the doctors soothed. It'll just have to be someone else's, that's all."

How are we All? Having glanced at some other threads, not so good! Obviously your weather doesn’t help. sad
At the risk of sounding “schadenfreidic” we’ve had some (a couple) of lovely warm/hot days 28C, although tomorrow is reported to end cooler and wetter and that will be it for next week A couple of warm nights were very welcome!
Of course, with this warm weather the Covid idiots turned out in force at the beaches, forcing police to respond en masse!
You’d think that they’d take notice of the outcome of Mr.Trump’s crazy actions.

More good news! Fortunately, the number of new cases and deaths has stabilised at historically low levels and at least are not increasing. I think the ring of steel is still in place around metro. Melbourne
Also, John, my gardener, turned up yesterday and did an excellent job considering the way the garden had overgrown during the several weeks ban. That must qualify as a stupid decision! .

We put our clocks forward an hour tonight for what used to be called Summertime, and I guess there will be people, possibly me, turning up an hour late for appointments such as our Zoom!

AGAA4 Came across the following whilst Googling which is different from the one we used to chant at school, but now illegal I would imagine!
Taffy is a Welshman - Alun Rees wrote this poem in response to the anti-Welsh 18th Century nursery rhyme: "Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a thief, Taffy came to my house and stole a piece of beef".
TAFFY IS A WELSHMAN
Taffy is a Welshman,Taffy is no thief.
Someone came to Taffy's house
and stole a leg of beef.
Taffy made no protest,
for he doesn't like a row,
so the someone called on him again
and stole the bloody cow. etc. etc. grin

Noted several references to “Sober October” lately! Good grief!. Sobriety raises its head again;
Reminds me of the definition of a “social drinker”
Someone who is only sociable when they’re drinking!
It’s now just past the witching hour and I’m not staying up until 2.00am to forward the clocks to 3.00am confused
