What slogan would you print on a T shirt?

We were having a discussion today about those T-shirt’s that carried political/ ethical statements.
There seems to be so much going on today that is contentious that I would find it difficult to work out what my slogan would be.
Yesterday I read that the farms that provide many of our supermarkets with avocados are no respecters of human rights.
So today mine would have to feature their workers.
I think that I will need lots of new T-shirt’s, a problem in itself.

Don`t tell me i`m wrong (on the front) then on the back it would read."it`s my opinion".

Anniezee Mon 12-Oct-20 15:22:44

Mine would be either:

Common sense is not common
of
Reality TV gives reality a bad name

Lucca Mon 12-Oct-20 15:43:45

“Wear a bloody mask”

EthelTheTank Mon 12-Oct-20 15:55:11

Ooh I've got loads of ideas
Safety first
Always wear a helmet
Read the label
Fries on the side
Choose Kind

LauraNorder Mon 12-Oct-20 16:04:14

Callistemon Mon 12-Oct-20 16:24:12

DH has one which says:
"I didn't vote for them".

grannyrebel7 Mon 12-Oct-20 16:24:48

Feel bad about buying avocados now! Agree with Lucca's slogan - wear a bloody mask !

In our quest for cheaper food this is going to happen.
We have to learn that cheap food comes at a cost to someone.

I used to be a
New Age Warrior
Now I'm a
Middle Aged Worrier

PamelaJ1 Mon 12-Oct-20 18:29:34

Callistemon they don’t need to be cruel though do they?
We must pay more and eat less.
There that’s my slogan.

What the hell are the Covid rules?

Food not bombs

Slavery still exists.

But this story sounded really bad. Not just low wages and poor conditions but physical cruelty

I would never wear any garment with writing on it.

I have never understood the "designer label" nonsense where customers actually pay good money to turn themselves into walking advertisements. The "designers" should be paying them.

If I wanted to support a cause I might go on a march wielding a banner but I wouldn't have a slogan on my clothes.

When DD1 was a teenager she was into slogan t shirts. She had one with Men Lie emblazoned across her boobs. One day she wore it for Mass. When she got to the front of the queue to priest looked up to give her the Host, saw the slogan, burst out laughing and dropped the Host. Fortunately it fell back onto the salver. It seemed like ages before he regained his composure. After Mass he asked that if she wore any other slogan t shirts could I warn him in advance. The next week she went in one with a picture of Jesus on it and the slogan 'Jesus is my homeboy'. The week after 'Mary is my homegirl' but she never caught him out again.

Most certainly not.
The stories were horrific.

I have a friend who had a T-shirt that said: "If all else fails, lower your standards." It suited her.

For myself, I don't like writing on clothes. I'll stick with plain T-shirts.

LadyStardust Mon 12-Oct-20 19:41:55
