What slogan would you print on a T shirt?

We were having a discussion today about those T-shirt’s that carried political/ ethical statements.
There seems to be so much going on today that is contentious that I would find it difficult to work out what my slogan would be.
Yesterday I read that the farms that provide many of our supermarkets with avocados are no respecters of human rights.
So today mine would have to feature their workers.
I think that I will need lots of new T-shirt’s, a problem in itself.

Or perhaps you did!

Chewbacca Mon 12-Oct-20 22:12:32

I had one for a while that said "OFFS". But I got too fat for it.

On my t-shirt I would have 'For F**k's Sake Find A Bl***y Vaccine!

I don’t wear clothes with writing on either but was entering the spirit of the thread.

DH has never worn his - someone gave it to him as a joke.
But perhaps he should.

BlueSky I was going to put "Old Age Worrier" but I just couldn't do it.

One for any aviators out there:

"If you ain't
single seat,
you ain't
sh*t."

Increasingly politics and social issues are reduced to short slogans and a facebook or twitter status, that we must all slavishly follow. To question invites a tirade of anger and abuse. But slogans cant replace reasoned debate and nuance. I caught sight of a t shirt worn by a woman protesting recently that seemed to suit my current frame of mind. A black t shirt with Thought Criminal in big white letters

'I'm too old for this Tshirt'

I have a couple I bought to wear on demos..a Hope not Hate one and Palestine one. I wear them now as "walking" tees. I also have a black tee with a silver spider wink

I've got one. Black Lives Matter. People often comment positively on it.

Also a Jeremy Corbyn sweatshirt that I love.

lemongrove Tue 13-Oct-20 08:44:41

I would have the slogan:

Stop pretending you don’t ‘understand’ Covid restrictions

lemongrove Tue 13-Oct-20 08:49:31

Or....the more snappier:

Where’s your bloody mask!

Oy! That’s mine!

lemongrove Tue 13-Oct-20 08:57:07

Sorry!?

Lucca Tue 13-Oct-20 09:01:04

I don’t wear them either and I started the post?

Froglady Tue 13-Oct-20 09:07:56

'This isn't the real me - she's hidden away deep inside.'

Lucca Tue 13-Oct-20 09:12:56

I wouldn’t wear anything with writing on it unless I was attending a demo or protest of some kind. In fact in m and s thought I’d found a navy hoodie, only to find it had LOVELY written in the front. Why? Just why ?

lemongrove Tue 13-Oct-20 09:18:31

You are getting very defensive of this imaginary tee with a slogan Lucca ? so, having already apologised I will fold my tee up and put it in a drawer now.

lemongrove Tue 13-Oct-20 09:21:30

I never buy clothes with slogans either, or anything else come to that, you know, all those word ornaments, LOVE etc or wall stencils with a thought for the day?

Callistemon Tue 13-Oct-20 09:53:35

If I wore that there would bound to be some wags who would shout 'no, you're not'!

Before I retired, all of the teachers and admin. at my school chose sayings to add to their email signatures. I had this one that I'd always liked (by Emerson):

"The only true gift is a portion of thyself"

Also, I'm an admitted snowflake, so I already have t-shirts that say: "Kind People Are My Kind of People", and "You Can't Buy Love, But You Can Rescue It" grin

pen50 Tue 13-Oct-20 10:14:19

I have one already - although admittedly I haven't actually worn it yet.

"Geriatric Delinquent".
