Good Morning everyone from wild and windy, warm and sunny S of France. Do wish that the winds off the Pyrenées would now clear off elsewhere, thank you. With mask and glasses and hair which constantly covers all that, it's only luck that I eventually find myself at any planned destination these days.
Thought I would raise a small smile with this photo. Wondering if Ballantynes were saving this batch for export to Australia ?!
I'm saying nuffink, Urms - except I do so wish I had nice shaped nails like those.
Kate54 How exciting for the family. Yes, making beds is the very first thing that should be done, and preparing and stocking and cleaning bathroom - so that all involved can collapse and call it a day when they choose, without having to search around for a decent place to wash and rest - and wondering where they left The Toddler
. Bassgrammy Why not sit down with a coffee and a good think - try to find something that piques your interest, make a list. Don't get downhearted - we're all here and empathising.
Grammaretto you're sounding re-invigorated. Happy for you - it often doesn't take much, we're all quite cheap to run, I reckon! Baubles breathe, re-charge. Such very sad times, Kitty
NannyT good luck with that knee, take care.
Do Wish My X Wouldn't Grumble - was the way I immediately read your first post of "Scrabble" letters,*DWMXWG*. Otherwise you might just get any old version of that as the days pass. It certainly is a good way to condense your description of a full life - even without Sisters and Nursing shifts!
Stilllearning Well, you've now no excuse NOT to turn up at your DD's at lambing time (just for a bit of supervision, maybe?)
Mellow Can never get enough Amaretto. I do have the most wonderful squidgy cake recipe if you have any of that wonderful liquid left over...
. GrannySomerset enjoy your afternoon in your old garden - hope you find it up to your standards and that, and the company, makes you feel good. We all need those moments more than ever now.
What the hell......? Hope it's not just me. Reading about the Tiers etc., would be more than enough to reduce me to Tears. My Son told us today that on the Sussex/Kent border where he lives, Police are now randomly stopping cars to ask if peoples' journeys are really necessary! What a confusing mess. Do hope that the whole blimmin' thing is easier in action than it is in print - rather than another exercise to make a bad thing worse. Doubtless more changes coming in - even faster than the weather.
Please take care, above everything else, GN'ers. We all need to be here and on parade each day with a cheery word, a good moan and loads of support at the ready. Have the best Friday possible - squeeze all the good things out of difficult times.
Hugs from French France as per......
