The sun came out today, warm as summer and as if it knew, this Oriental Poppy, (three of them), has decided to bloom just in time for Poppy Day (if they can last that long)!!

London! Lived there for 39 years, still miss walking by the river. Fabulous poppies too! In fact everything about this thread is so enjoyable, Here are a couple from our pre lockdown excursion into North Yorkshire this week.

Gorgeous poppies Namsnanny, those Yorkshire views look like the Herriot vet programme grannyqueenie. I'd leave the window hazy fairview, it makes the picture more ethereal!

We went for a walk today and DH said “what’s that bird on that fence post?” “It’s a pigeon” says I. But it wasn’t. It was this fellow, sitting minding his own business for quite a long time until I moved to get a side view of him, and he flew off☹️. A youngster I think.

Today’s NT walk was in brilliant sunshine, a truly beautiful day.

Well I took some yesterday of the Prince of Wales Bridge but my photography skills are zilch. It was quite misty !
