Origin/Meaning of usernames

My dear old Mum suffered from vascular dementia towards the end of her long life and often used to say "I must be going gaga". She was always "Gran" to her grandchildren so I chose my name in honour of her.

Uncomplicated. I'm a wifey frae Fife.

Our cat is a tabby and that is also his name, my husband added the 1 when a password required a numeral.

When I done a phone update something happened, and I couldn’t sign in to gransnet I used to be Tessa101 ( my dogs name).
It wouldn’t let me use my old username. So i now use my CB name from years ago when I was about 20.

I just love frogs, both real and ornaments, etc!

I was brought up with lots of hens.

After my first GC was born in 1999 I was so thrilled to be a Granny that ever after that, when asked my name by the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker, I would always reply "Granny". So many people call me Granny now that I wanted to be Universal Granny on here, but was told I couldn't have it, so shortened it. And zi have 4 GC

I love singing and I belong to a number of choirs. My birthday is on the 22 nd!

Before retiring my DH was a pilot with BA. My name is a play on BA's call sign.

My name is because I hate cooking and use microwave ready meals as much as I can get away with before DH starts gently hinting "We've not had bolognese for a while, I've been fancying it lately"

I was a fan of Lois Lane and Simon Templar in the 60’s and automatically introduced myself at the Locarno to any potential dancing partner as Lois Temple as I thought it sounded romantic.

I am occupied with writing books. And reading books.

My maiden name was one colour when I married I changed surname to another colour - hence Chameleon. The 007 relates to my initials - JB

Mine means absolutely nothing - simply because I don’t want to be identified for security reasons.

I don’t have children, so could never be a gran, or a nana.....

Mine is due to one DD asking the other DD if they had a certain type of bag they could borrow.

Answer was sorry no but "ask mum she has all sorts of bags".

Made me realise just how many sorts of bags I had :-)

These days I could also use "Far too many scarves" :-)

Probably a bit outing but mine is a family joke and goes back to a family holiday in Greece where on an inebriated Greek night I enjoyed myself dancing on tables. When I finally returned to our family group table my DGS exclaimed "Gran, that was so reckless!" There started a long standing joke between him and I whereby in every card we send to each other we put "stay reckless!" along with the usual love, hugs and all that jazz. [I am generally fairly reckless in lots of ways so I guess it suits me.]
