Watching repeats of the great British sewing bee(even though I don’t sew). They made a blouse with a pussy bow tie. I realised I’d never ever wear one. What would you never wear ?

TrendyNannie6 Tue 20-Oct-20 13:11:47

Oh and thongs parrot hoop earrings actually the list could go on, but I won’t!

Beauregard Tue 20-Oct-20 13:35:54

Patterned skirt with totally different, clashing patterned top. Anything sleeveless. Trousers that are meant to be full length but stop just above the ankle.

And leather trousers - even worse teamed with a leather jacket (unless you are a biker). I remember being on the tombola stall at my children's school when two people walked across the playground wearing top to toe matching leather outfits and everyone around doing a double take. A closer look revealed it was my exH and his new partner (no motorbike in sight). Couldn't help having a little smile!

Lucca

Callistemon, that sounds just fine. My feeling sad at home outfit today so far is pyjamas with a wonderfully soft pink hoodie.

I had to go out unexpectedly, but luckily didn't have to get out of the car!

Bikini
Leather trousers
High heels
Makeup
Thongs
Leggings

I do wear jeans most of the time though, and can I come behind the sofa with those who find crocs very useful for nipping out to the garden and not then treading rain or mud all over the floor? I have also kept my shell suit, which is a lovely bright turquoise, and which I found very cheering to wear.

Thank you, I accept the Bad Taste Award with pleasure!

Lets face it, Crocs are only garden shoes with pretensions.

I have a nice pair of pink gardening shoes that I also find useful when nipping out to the garden wink

Callistemon Tue 20-Oct-20 15:51:48

I left my Crocs in Australia.
The best place for them, they'll have lots of company.

Yiayia4 Tue 20-Oct-20 15:57:34

BlueBelle Tue 20-Oct-20 16:34:25

AGAA4 Tue 20-Oct-20 16:50:04

Laura you have described my Argy outfit.

EllanVannin Tue 20-Oct-20 17:18:55

Glad we don't wear hats like our mothers did. Whatever mum wore, the hat went on too---matching of course grin

DanniRae Tue 20-Oct-20 17:19:10

Big knickers - 3/4 wide leg trousers - crocs - jeans....especially with big rips in the legs - flowery nighties - head scarves - I could go on, but won't!

MissAdventure Tue 20-Oct-20 17:22:53

Err, err, umm.. um, ah, err...

MissAdventure Tue 20-Oct-20 17:24:09

Ooh, that was my boris impression. blush
Wrong thread!

Puzzler61 Tue 20-Oct-20 17:27:56

A skimpy body-hugging long sheath dress.
Too many lumps and bumps these days. Even if I wear Spanx (well if you squeeze yourself in, in some places, it escapes in others).

Puzzler61 Tue 20-Oct-20 17:28:42

MissAdventure ?

Scribbles Tue 20-Oct-20 17:56:18

Brown shoes
Any colour shoes with twiddly little bows on
Blouses with pussy bows (always reminds me of Margaret Thatcher)
Cropped trousers
Shorts
Furry slippers

grannyrebel7 Tue 20-Oct-20 18:07:24

Anything green.

MiniMoon Tue 20-Oct-20 18:12:47

High heels here too. I never could get away with them.
Pyjamas in a supermarket.
Shorts (I don't have the legs for them any more).

I used to sing in a choral society, we wore those blouses with a bow tied at the neck, in a beautiful shade of pale pink, yuk, I hated it.

Casdon Tue 20-Oct-20 18:32:50

Brown. I can’t stand it.

GillT57 Tue 20-Oct-20 18:39:27

Fleeces or anything else with animals/funny/witty sayings on them

Polyester trousers, especially if above the ankle

mohair, any wool without cashmere in it because it makes me itch

Leopard skin

Tops with cut out shoulders

leggings worn as trousers, not as leggings should be

But, crocs are great for popping out to the bins or greenhouse!!

PinkCakes Tue 20-Oct-20 19:10:51

polo necks (my neck is too short)
shorts (legs are too short)
leggings (most women look like Max Wall in them)
anything frilly or fussy
twinsets
dungarees (only children and workmen should wear them)
those jeans with the knees out/rips in (they look tatty)

NanKate Tue 20-Oct-20 19:17:40

Anything brown or yellow.

honeyrose Tue 20-Oct-20 19:21:25
