Good morning from a dry NE where the sun is rising and shining through the en suite window on to the bed.
Talking of dreams, yesterday I told DH I dreamt he had come home with two white rabbits, strange because we have never had pets. He was reading FB and turned to me and said " one of my friends is giving away two white rabbits because the GC are no longer interested ". No, we did not offer to take them.
A day of doing very little again.

X-posts Beauregard it’s a nasty virus. Our Covid warriors were breathless and fatigued for 3 weeks. Hope your family get well soon too. I dare say more of us will start to ‘know someone with it’ these coming weeks.

I do (hope) wonder if the virus is weakening. My stepfather’s friend aged 87y has it and now, 3 weeks later, he’s feeling on the right side of it.

Going to B&Q to buy an extension cable for the car battery charger we bought yesterday for DH’s car. It really isn’t t going out enough.

Nothing much on the cards for me today apart from my weekly hairdo. I usually walk there but now we have to wear masks all the time I don’t think I can do it. Twenty minutes walk, then half an hour or so at the hairdresser, then twenty minutes walk back without taking it off. The car needs a run but I need the exercise

Urms When I heard the news I immediately thought about your posts during the time your Covid warriers were in the midst of the virus and how they had been affected with fatigue and breathlessness. Hope they are all well now. I expect it will be a similar experience for ours.

Good morning from Durham. Another fabulous sunrise, but not sure what the weather has in store for us later.
Tier 2 here (was 3) so allowed to meet a friend in her garden after work - almost dark and Baltic (cold) but so nice to see a different face.
Hospital this morning with DH for his blood test prior to Chemo next Tuesday. His peripheral neuropathy’s getting more painful at night and he’s very down, as PN’s usually permanent and he dreads it getting worse. While he’s there DD has left a juicer machine in her hall for me - she’ll be at work, so I’m not actually ‘mixing’ with another household - just pick it up and go and I’ll pop my mask on.
Walk later with DD2’s older dog, the youngster had his op yesterday, so he’s back home and we’re hanging onto the other for a day or two.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Feels warm and damp.
Tidying and cleaning as we have house viewings this weekend. The agent will be doing them as we are travelling down to Hampshire to spend some time with DS and bring him back tomorrow to pick up his car.
We would've liked to have visited my parents who live on the South Coast but can't because of our tier 2 status that we carry with us wherever we go. DS is exempt as he is in the military and so can have a work and family bubble (with careful precautions)

Good morning All from a soggy Polmont. It does not look nice out there. I'm going out later with dd and dgs to The Range to have a look at their Christmas stuff. Dd works from home Monday to Thursday and gets stir crazy on a Friday so likes to get out. It won't be a long visit as dgs won't take kindly to being stuck in the buggy for too long. That's all I have planned for today. Have a good day all.

Bitter sweet for us as the cafe opens at the community shop today. DH was founder and heavily involved in its beginnings but now he is too poorly (not covid) to attend this milestone and our pianist DGS can't perform at the opening due to covid rules. I'll go along though and wish the new team well.

I still miss Gilly's Friday girl. Sending good wishes to all those not 100% .

Marydoll I would suspect squirrels have been at your bulbs. They've certainly feasted on mine. Someone on a gardening thread suggested grating coal tar soap into the hole when you plant bulbs. I'm going to try that.

Pleasant morning though rain probable later so when I have got both of us sorted out we will do the weekly Tesco run. Must check stores first as I plan on making mincemeat and C cake this weekend. Not much else on the horizon but hoping for the best possible weekend for us all.

Good morning from another wet Day in Morecambe Bay. I do wish it would dry up as I’ve got gardens to put to bed for the winter and I try not to work once the clocks change. There seems to be a lot of family problems at the moment in one form or another. It’s horrible when you can’t really do anything.
I hit the wrong button and sent a smiley face instead of flowers yesterday so I will compensate. Take care and stay safe everyone ???

Good morning from a rather grey and dismal looking South Yorkshire.

Waiting in for the engineer to come and fix the house alarm so can't leave the house just yet. It's been almost 3 weeks of waiting in for things to be fixed since the power surge ruined so many of our electrical things. Goodness how long it will be before I can get the cooker hood sorted as the existing one can't be fixed and we go into tier 3 on Saturday. I'm a bit fed up about it all to be honest, but hey ho, no point worrying.

Sorry to read of the worries and concerns of some of my fellow GM's and hope things resolve themselves positively very soon. ?

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Overcast and still in South Yorkshire. We will have rain later. I slept badly last night despite having had a lovely walk yesterday in a park on the edge of the city. We haven’t been there for years and the trees were glorious. Called on DD on the way home to find that our GS has to self isolate all through the half term holiday because a boy he sits a desk but one away from in his maths class has tested positive for Covid. He was railing at the injustice of it, and I am so sad for him. Being cut off from his friends and his sport will be like hobbling a racehorse (not going to be a heap of fun for his parents either), but he’ll suck it up and do what he needs to do. The only thing consoling him is that he isn’t the only one. To all who are struggling today, heartfelt good wishes. Stay safe and have a good day, folks.

Just off with DH to walk to his allotment where I shall supervise harvesting of veg and carry out a general inspection. Might get the hoe out just to show willing!
See my pesky squirrels have relatives north of the border Marydoll. I have to put netting across my pots and keep a beady eye on the flower beds where I have planted tulip bulbs. DH keeps a primed water cannon loaded and ready which does send them scampering over the fence, but they soon return; think all parties enjoy the chase!

Good morning all from a dreich morning on the Angus coast where I'm having a lazy day lying in bed still and reading all the posts on here. There are so many worries on top of the Covid ones and it's so hard when it's our DC's we're worrying about. There's that feeling as a mother that we should be able to "Kiss it better" and the feeling of impotence when we can't. ??

My classes went well yesterday and it was so lovely to see everyone again. My classes are usually large and last 90 minutes, but these small intimate groups in classes that last only 45 minutes are a joy. But boy am I tired after four hours!!

Today is going to be a gentle catch-up with tasks around the house sort of day and I may make a pot of curried sweetcorn soup for myself. It was a family favourite in days gone by and I fancy a wee bit of nostalgia. Make today the best you can everyone and let tomorrow take care of itself. ???
