I'm always so excited when it's flu jab time - the thought of that needle going into my arm.....!

I like it best when it buckles and refuses to pierce the skin It did that when I had my 'flu jab---and bled down my arm.

I have heard friends say ‘ oh I don’t like hospital visiting’ and even ‘I really don’t like attending funerals’.....as if the rest of us just adore it.

A slow cortisone injection into the wrist was more painful than the carpel tunnel pain it was treating

I have to inject myself in the stomach every day for a month, something to do with blood thinning. It isn't easy, but it doesn't hurt much at all until I poke my finger trying to find the place :-)

At least he won’t become a junkie, small mercies.

I love Gogglebox! I'm not keen on some of the people but I really like most of them.
I was snobbish about 'I'm a Celebrity' initially Phoenix but succumbed once and then was hooked. There's something fascinating about seeing a group of people who usually 'have it all' stripped back to the most basic of survival tools and having to subject themselves to awful trials. Real personalities emerge and unexpected friendships are developed. Of course its highly edited but it's a stylised social study all the same. Plus I've always just loved Ant and Dec. Cheery wee Geordies. What's not to like!

I always wonder if all those who don’t do needles would refuse a blood transfusion. Would they be prepared to put up with a needle then?
They are irritating beyond belief.
