Oh GrannyGravy, you sweet old-fashioned thing.....there can’t be many peeps left who understand the complicated workings of the BT diary! You’re just too trusting ?. Think Charley’s got their number - in more ways than one. There will undoubtedly be some further delay or other : snow, too much, wrong snow, ice, fog, high winds, missing parts, missing brain cells, missing diary, missing staff. I reckon by the time the soops re-appear, life may have changed out there on the interwebby thing. Perhaps COVID will be gone. If that’s a chance, I’m sure our Head Kitchen lady will feel that this enforced absence and further loss of freedom will not have been in vain. Hope you’re ok., Mr and Mrs S and having a good rest.
In France, (?♀️ Puzzler) the most vulnerable have started being inoculated. The elderly are next.....of course my being in the first flush of youth, it won’t be my turn for many months yet! ? My options, quite seriously, are good - especially since the general view is that maybe only 40% of the normally hypochondriac French will take up the vaccine offer. This should mean that with all the millions of doses available with a view to the completion of this mammoth exercise listed for May, there should be plenty to go around.
Numbers of friends have made the larky comment that they’ll be quite happy to watch the British ‘go first’; but they’re just the same here with the flu vaccine each year. I wasn’t very keen but my Doctor is a mine of information and support. She says that she’ll not hesitate. And what else have we got, to escape from this hellish and anxious way to live, so I think Himself and I will respond positively when we receive our invitation.
I really fancy a slice of banana cake now. Aren’t they such difficult things to eat just at the right stage of ripeness. It’s almost easier to enjoy them in cake.
The sun went down in a ginger blaze this evening and we had the treat of a flamingo flypast. How I love those big birds.
Prawns and linguine for supper and a G&T beforehand. Going to plan a New Year’s Day meal - have to welcome (desperately) a year to replace the rubbish one we’ve been stuck with until now. Have a good evening, Kitcheners. Anyone sad or poorly, sending you hugs and hopes that you’ll feel lots better soon. Stay safe. A
TOYA. ?
