Soop's lovely warm and friendly kitchen

I sincerely hope my immediate neighbours do not have a party tonight. We are in tier 4 and the young adults had around 8 friends around the other evening.

Thank you all for your friendship, kindness and laughter throughout the year. There have been sad times also but we must ride above everything.

I’m expecting fireworks tonight but they don’t tend to go on as long as the Bonfire Night ones although they start later of course.

I too would like to wish everyone who comes to soop ‘s kitchen A Happier New Year than 2020 and hope we find dear soop back here very soon.

I get extremely peeved with tradesman of any persuasion who continue to promise and then not deliver, work colleagues are used to hearing my polite but firm views offered to those who think that their time is more important than mine!!!!!! (Not that I have set foot in the office since March)

Hope you can all relax a bit today, especially our soop and Macs, annoying though their internet issues are they've done all they can for now. I'd be sending what my Mum used to call a letter on a stiff piece of cardboard to the Chairman, service level simply isn't acceptable.

I have just received the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers from neighbours and friends two doors away. Tara had a good sniff around, not really knowing what they are. I only hope the heat here will not kill them. They normally give me some sort of food for Christmas which I like and want like a hole in the head so this really is a lovely surprise.

A Happy New Year to all in the kitchen. Thanks you all for all the support, kindness, advice, lovely photos and scrumptious cakes during this most awful and challenging of years.
I am lying on the sofa, the log fire is blazing and watching the most beautiful sunset.
When out walking this morning we found this pebble placed by a gate. It made us smile and sums up what we all wish for 2021.

I do hope MrDoodle is getting a night's sleep and is not in agony as he was a few days ago. Slowly the pain will ease.

Tara and I must go to bed now because fireworks have started next door and it sounds as though they are about to enter my kitchen.

charley nice of you to ask. DH is in fact feeling a lot better. He has cut down on the pain killers so is not away with the fairies so much and he is more mobile now. Still walking with a frame as his balance is not good but sitting and sleeping he is quite comfortable thank you.
Sorry about the fireworks. I hope Tara can hold her paws over her ears. I’m so glad she’s at home with you and not out somewhere. Keep safe hope you sleep well.
