Hello Everyone tchsmile
I'm shamelessly asking for last minute present inspiration for both myself and DH.

I know that he really wants to exchange gifts this year (even though I choose them myself.)
I only shop online, which is just as well...

I had my eye on a Swarovski bracelet but it's now it's out of stock (I have a feeling that they do this with sale items at this time of year.)

So, what are you hoping for in your stocking?
(Obviously, a vaccine and smooth Brexit go without saying!)

Thank you all tchsmileflowers

That's a lovely idea MawB, but we both know exactly where we'll be going next - Alnmouth in Northumberland. I even know the exact cottage - it faces the beach. Oh, I cannot wait!
I'm not a car person, but Minis are fabulous. A design classic.
GreyKnitter I can feel an Audible splurge coming on. My echoes and Audible membership are by far my best purchases this year.

I realy want a fold up walking stick as my current one drives me mad when it falls over when i lean it against anything. Also when i go walking it would be nice when on a flat path to try and walk without a stick as i could fold it up and put under my arm with out it hitting anyone or anything!! lol. Also would like a proper cover for my Tablet so it stands up properly. Both these things i could quite easily buy myself but when the kids ask what i would like it s good to have some ideas for them that are not too expensive.

Anything at all will be received with thanks.

DH forgot my birthday this year. Hope he will remember Jesus' birthday!

I’m hoping for everyone to stay healthy, and wall to wall sunshine from May to September so we can have a lovely care free summer with no restrictions.

Kim19 Mon 21-Dec-20 11:40:37

Just to have the same lovely Christmas us usual will do wonderfully for me and that looks like happening at the moment.

Casdon Mon 21-Dec-20 11:45:34

I’m hoping for a plant grow light, so I can grow my own salad through the winter. I do realise though that this is a minority interest present!

Oooh dear, thought for a moment Marydoll that your wee granddaughter was called Fanny. Poor little (not Scottish) thing I thought. Then I realised.
No offence intended FC.
In answer to the question at last, a new pair of jogging bottoms please. Been wearing the old pairs for the last nine months.

One of my best writer-friends is called Fanny! I rather like it!

I am obsessed with silk scarves and I have lost count of how many I have but another is always welcome. Otherwise anything by Jaeger - a visit to a charity shop will often reveal a bargain! - or anything consumable - good wine, chocolates etc - is always welcome.

What I do not want is any more "stuff" eg china, ornaments and similar, Having spent the past year ruthlessly decluttering I do not want to have to start all over again!

All of this is trivial when what all of us would want is to turn the clock back to 2019 and hope for better things next year.

Casdon. What a lovely idea. I would like one to be able to start off my flower seed sowing earlier. I had cosmos that didn’t even flower before the frosts this year. Do they still sell the lights in Ikea?
There are plenty of hydrophonic shops around which sell gro- lights but as these mainly cater to the drug growing fraternity I am loathe to go in.

I would like Santa to cancel Brexit and make the Covid vaccine widely available.

Marydoll Mon 21-Dec-20 12:08:42

Casdon I'm in your minority group! I had never considered a growing light. Mmmmm?

Last spring my SIL bought me an electric propgator as a surprise. I had the best year ever for growing veg. However, that wouldn't have been difficult, going by past results! grin

A paper quilling set. I think I'm going to need a new hobby in the new year, if we’re still in lockdown. It’s always fascinated me. Does anyone on here do it and is it difficult?

allsortsofbags Mon 21-Dec-20 12:44:18

A Covid free country, so we can see family, get things going again to start the recovery process.

However, on a purely personal note I'm getting a lovely new Magimix.

My poor old mixer (not a Magimix) gave up during last lockdown.

I've been procrastinating since the summer then DH saw the one I wanted at a really good price so I'm treating myself.

EllanVannin Mon 21-Dec-20 13:19:11

I don't need want anything except good health for the family and the strength to see me through another sick-free year.

EllanVannin Mon 21-Dec-20 13:23:10

Marydoll you made me laugh, yet again, with your middle name. No worse than mine---Nellie ( Ellen ) grin

ginny Mon 21-Dec-20 13:33:12

The things I would really like are free but not available this Christmas.

I would quite like a new Radley handbag . Otherwise I’ll be happy for anything people are kind enough to give.

That's the spirit! Well done you. That's exactly the type of thing I want to hear. tchgrin
What's the first thing that you are going to make with your Magimix?
Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be magi(c)!

FannyCornforth Mon 21-Dec-20 13:41:29

gillyknits re quilling. I tried it about 25 years ago.
No, not difficult, as far as I can remember.
I'm creative but cack-handed and didn't have any probs.

I'm hoping for luxurious bath products. My wants are few.

I love the name Nellie.

kittylester Mon 21-Dec-20 13:54:43

Ear plugs.

I've bought dh a saxophone and lessons!

Happysexagenarian Mon 21-Dec-20 13:55:15

All I want for Christmas is for DH and I to be together, we are so lucky to have each other. I don't want or expect a gift from him, I don't want him going into shops unnecessarily. I have gifts for him as I shop online, he doesn't. Our AC and GC have bought us gifts but won't be able to give them to us until (sometime) next year. That's fine with us. We live in unpredictable times and will just have to go with the flow. I had all their presents gift wrapped and sent directly to them, so I at least know they've got theirs.

FannyC Have you explored Pandora jewellery? They do lovely sparkly stuff and I've found their delivery to be excellent.

Happysexagenarian Mon 21-Dec-20 13:59:57

gillyknits I've also done a bit of quilling but found it a bit fiddly, not really my thing. But I do admire quilling work done by other people, very intricate and delicate. Have a try at it, it's not an expensive craft. Good luck.

Marydoll My OH got me some Aeropex bone conduction headphones. I can’t wear any type of ear buds and over ear ones set off horrible nerve pain after a few minutes. The Aeropex sit just in front of your ear and the band goes round the back of your head without touching. AfterShokz make them.
