Nope just playing your game.
What do you find yourself avoiding more as you get older?
America, three headlines today, help me please to understand!
Everyone knew there was a lockdown coming so why on earth did Boris not just crack on yesterday. Did he have to wait for Nicola?
Nope just playing your game.
Maybe not Galaxy but it makes you a hypocrite for judging.?
Not blaming the schools at all.I think it was preposterous how Gov't ORDERED schools to stay open against advice of health officials.

I really cant see why teachers havent been vaccinated by now, a friend who has 2 relatives in the nhs, a consultant and a dentist, they have not been vaccinated yet. What are they playing at. The vaccine has been available for a month now
Boris & Co have only had since March when work got underway for a vaccine, to get arrangements made for administering it. Why didn't they have a recruitment drive in the many months since then, so things would be in place when the vaccine arrived. Makes sense to me but I am not an MP.
That's how it works. If you judge then you cant complain if people judge you.
And as for 'Karen's'- probably got name wrong- waynetta?
And don't label me judgemental when you are Judging me also....
The ones partying/mixing are (probably) the ones at the school gates im speaking of....who just dont care about the health/ safety aspect. Just the loss of free child care....
Jillybird. I was aware of my words. You did not have to copy and paste them. I just don't get why people don't just give the name of a person when replying to them.
I have 4 grandchildren under nine. I am very aware of all the choices people have re school at the moment.
I actually think all parents should have the choice on whether their children redo this year starting in September. It would be the answer. No children would be missing out on any of their education. It would not be strange as all would be doing it...

Why is there not a delete and start again button?
I would like to delete 2020
Why is there not a delete and start again button?
Sorry i meant all not no government etc

Nannan2 how horribly judgmental your post of 11.44 today is!!!
Many UK schools had 04/01 as an inset day so not all children were in school for just one day.
Nicola Sturgeon has always had her broadcast earlier than the PM, doesn’t necessarily mean BJ is copying her strategy, just means she broadcasts hers first!
Well said. I agree GrannyGravy.
Just to add that. I didn't vote at the last election but in my opinion no government, scientists, NHS etc dealing with this pandemic deserves a medal.
No-one could ever get it 100% perfect.
Our lot in Stormont have dithered the whole way along. Lockdown from Boxing Day, kids going back to school. Then going back a week later, now not back for a month, in talks again today. I nipped to a paypoint for a gas top-up yesterday evening and gangs of kids all hanging about, some in the shop with no masks, one behind me in the queue with no mask. Our lot need to bring law in that you are not allowed in anywhere without mask. What is the point of keeping them out of school when they hang around bored in large groups in the community and getting away with going in shops without a mask and pass it around anyway. I really don't know what's the best way of dealing with all this.
mamaa Thé school DD works at had a rota during the last lockdown to ensure the correct ratio of staff to pupils, she was working maybe 2 days a week of her normal 4. This time, all staff will have to be in as the number of parents stating they are key workers has increased significantly.

Mollygo ...Have to disagree with you there that ‘we on GN could run the country better’ ?although some no doubt think that they could.
I have to agree with you there lemongrove.
Boris has the mentality of a small child. He puts off all important decisions till the last minute in the hope that it will all go away.
I feel tactics are used when a restriction is needed. Scotland and Wales have such a small population and largely concentrated in a few areas. England has a huge population in comparison with some cities having a greater population than the whole of Scotland and Wales. The smaller amount of populations are easier to persuade and have comply with any restrictions so a quick application is applied. For England having by comparison a huge population covering a larger area it must be harder to get compliance hence the drip drip method to ease the population into being more accepting of restrictions. Psychology is surely applied at managing diverse populations albeit to achieve the same end.
It was anticipated and the moaners of this will be, in my view, the ones who by their lack of common sense, there is not one human being that could not catch this virus (never say never) partied on regardless at christmas mixing household with household.
Boring as it may be I will not apart from any medical help have contact other than by electronic means with another human being Boring boring What price life ?
Lucca all schools are open for vulnerable children and those of key workers, English schools have never closed

My granddaughter's Primary Head Teacher is happy to open for all children but says, if the teachers refuse to go in, then he cannot. Boris does not follow Nicola, she always jumps the gun to make herself look better!
I hope no one on this site ever goes out in a car because you have more chance in dying in an accident than you will ever have from flu and a fat lot of good wearing has done us because they don't work. Stay at home scared of everything if you want to, but the rest of the world should be allowed to get on with their life.
He can’t open because we are in lockdown.
Off not of.
I judge the parenting of those who reel of judgemental comments about people they know nothing about, thank goodness my children dont do that. I blame the parents of these people
My daughter is a teacher and found out at 8pm last night when the rest of the population did. She was replying to emails from the school and worried parents at 10.30pm last night. Told to go into work today, her daughter's school closed today even for critical worker's children until tomorrow. She can't take daughter in with her not allowed.
Her adult cousin, bless her, stepped in at 11pm last night and is at her home looking after DGD for today. She's gone to school to look after NHS, Police, vulnerable children etc. Then she will be teaching from home, often until 8pm as parents are working from home and can't supervise kids education until they finish work. Also teaching her own young child at the same time who is in a different year group. Primary children need motivation from parents to do the work.
And the icing on the cake is its her first week in a new job at this school.
So to those knocking teachers you have no idea how hard a job teaching remotely is.
Whilst I agree that this was all too last minute, resulting in chaos, I do have some sympathy with anyone trying to steer a course through this, regardless of political persuasion. Yes, of course they have to listen to the scientists but, they also have to listen to the economists and many other lobbyists, all pulling in different directions.
