Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its raining outside this morning here in Brackley ,I am expecting my Parsley Box meals order today via DHL .
Yesterday , picked up prescriptions and noticed that Boots like many chemists have reduced the number of people allowed in the shop to 3.
Normally this time of year , if I had not booked to see a stage show already ,I would be browsing through the leaflet which I get from the local travel trip organiser selecting the breaks etc for the year .
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning all , its dzrk but seems frost free at the moment
The neighbours told me they are having a new garage built , and sure enough i hear the builders arriving
Scentia I'm sure i read that unordered parcels from Amazon is some sort of scam ?

Good Morning everyone. Sun coming up, sky blue, still cold.
Hope today goes well for Mr Beau. Scentia, that’s the sensible way. You need someone between you and him, so unless you see the full sum by Friday, notify your insurers. He might not be insured and/or will string you along as long as he thinks he can play around/until he’s formally notified!

Good luck for good test results, NanKate. Partying? Are you kidding? You’ll be able to hear me from where you are!! ? It’s only the thought of going a bit bananas that’s keeping me going!

Steady GrandmaG don’t let exhaustion become a habit....you need to stay fit and well.

Mick, Baubles and Beech - keep looking firmly forward. The fun times will come again - for all of us. Mattie stay calm. Men at work can be a very mixed blessing.Hope all’s stable for little Iris and your newly adjusted double glazing ?is tempting you into more sewing.

Anyone due for a worrying or difficult day, up with those chins please. (Only one chin per person, of course, unless you’ve been near any scones lately? ?) Let’s find one small thing to see us through today and try to smile.

I’m off to put a huge granary loaf into the oven, then I shall go outside to crack some ice on our pool and check on the newly arrived Seed Gang (hordes of finches who have now located the food that my insect-eating birds won’t touch. )I shall admire the lovely sunshine from indoors and a day close to the fire, I think, and fingers crossed that our infection figures continue to drop. Extended outdoor trips will require ski clothing - and can I be arsed? Possibly not. ?

To Travels so hope that your health is slowly improving. Love to you. To you all, sending hugs, warm wishes and the usual instructions to stay safe. x

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s just getting light. Dry and mild. I can just about make out the ridge of the Pennines through the blanket of white cloud.

No plans today other than a walk through the park with a takeaway coffee going to our daughters. We have a spare key & I’m making them my ‘SOAP’ dish for their tea (sage, onion, apple and pork topped with mash). I even cook and chop a sweetheart cabbage to go with it. Saves busy mummy a job when she gets home with the children and I know she appreciates the help now we’ve decided any childminding is o hold for the foreseeable. Anyway it’s FT tonight!

I looked at the time in the dark and saw it was 6:15am. I can’t be the only one on here who thinks ‘oh Mick will just be opening up now’. I rolled over for another hour of sleep so a big thank you to you Mick for your reliability. You are indeed a star.

Best wishes today Beauregard for your husband’s op. The virus adds an extra layer of anxiety I’m sure.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all, especially you dear Auntieflo. I can only imagine your worry right now. I’m sure the specialist and his team will take very good care of you. And your lovely husband too. I hope you have a long road still to travel.

Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

cornergran Tue 12-Jan-21 08:10:42

Sorry to hear your upsetting news auntieflo. Can understand you’re all over the place, why wouldn’t you be? Love and hugs from me.

Dwmxwg Tue 12-Jan-21 08:13:49

Good morning from north Surrey, has rained in the night and more forecast for today
Auntieflo so sorry to hear you news. I do hope you are seen soon by your specialist with options of treatments, sounds like you DH is doing his bit to support you
Beauregard hope all goes well for DH’s op and he is soon on the mend
Yesterday I was walking round with a “funny feeling” on my leg, kept readjusting my trousers until I realised that yesterday’s knickers were stuck in the trouser leg, daft granny!
Not sure what is on my agenda for today apart from the usual dog walks and an online Pilates session. No doubt something will pop up to keep me busy
?to all with illness and worries

grandMattie Tue 12-Jan-21 08:16:06

So sorry to hear your distressing news, Auntieflo. Please carry on sharing and offloading; that’s what we are best at!
Big hugs and ? for you.

ginny Tue 12-Jan-21 08:17:24

Good Morning from a milder N. Bucks although it is very damp it is not raining at the moment.
Didn’t get round to sorting out under the stairs yesterday so May attempt it today. I decided yesterday that I would rather finish my felt flower wreath. ( see picture ).

?for auntieflo and anyone else with bad news or feeling ill

Hope you can all find a ?today.

Urmstongran Tue 12-Jan-21 08:17:53

Good morning from Morecambe Bay where we are just off for a walk. It’s been wet over night but looks drying now. Will read and catch up later. Take care and stay safe everyone ?

Jaxjacky Tue 12-Jan-21 08:22:34

Good morning Mick and all from a mild, damp S Hants, we’ve had rain overnight. DH was going to start digging over the garden yesterday, but it’s too wet, so another day today of not doing much. Thoughts are with auntiflo and others with worries today.
Wishing you all a gentle day.

kittylester Tue 12-Jan-21 08:22:45

Good morning all from a soggy North Leicestershire. Not too much in the hall - yippee!!

I'm sorry to hear your new Auntieflo and best wishes to your DH Beauregard.

We've had a fraught couple of days. DS1 has been in hospital with a high temperature, achy joints and fast heart rate. The paramedics were absolutely fabulous and he had brilliant care in hospital. He had 2 covid tests - thankfully, both negative. He is home now with strong antibiotics for a chest infection.

Thank goodness for our brilliant NHS.

Pantglas2 Tue 12-Jan-21 08:25:24

Morning all from dry north Wales where I’m lolling abed with the chamberpot ☕️?

I’m another who picked up a new (to me) car yesterday Baubles which is why I didn’t post - by the time we’d picked it up and popped into Lidl for shopping it was afternoon!

Hope all goes well for your DH Beauregard and sorry to hear your news AuntieFlo, what a bugger life can be ?hope your neurologist puts your mind at rest Elizabeth, must be a strange feeling to have that happen!

I’m another that doesn’t snore - I simply purr......?

Lins1066 Tue 12-Jan-21 08:25:48

Good morning Mick and all, it is much milder here on the S Welsh coast. I'm sorry you've had bad news Auntieflo.
I hope your DH's op goes well 'Beauregard*.
We have a Sainsbury's delivery this morning, some items are not available. My hair appointment was cancelled before Christmas because of lockdown so I cut it myself yesterday with a thinning scissors, needs must. Mr Lins is refusing to let me cut his, I wonder why... Oh dear we seem to have been here before I seem to remember!I
Hope Susan is feeling better today, also that Cherry is well and that you are resting Marydoll.
Stay safe everyone.

Susan56 Tue 12-Jan-21 08:26:32

Good morning from Staffordshire.Childcare today so a 4.45 start. The drive down was a bit hairy as a lot of floodwater on the roads?DH in charge today as I still don’t feel 100%.

GrannyGravy, your day today is our Thursday and Friday and I agree it’s exhausting?Last week was our first week so we were totally unprepared.Any advice gratefully received! We are used to looking after the two but the homeschooling takes it to a whole new level!

Scentia, I would advise the insurance route. Our neighbour reversed into my car on the drive and never paid up?

Auntie fly, I am so sorry to hear your news and echo what grandmattie says.

Hope your DH’s operation goes ahead and is successful Beau.

Hope Mary and Cherry have had a restful night.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Grandmafrench Tue 12-Jan-21 08:26:48

Burdening us? You silly old AuntieFlo you. Isn’t this one of the reasons we all get on so well, problem sharing, solving, supporting, laughing and crying and helping each other? I can barely think how upset you must feel at the news. Cling on to your lovely DH until you feel calm but please come on here to tell us about how you are and what plans are in place for your treatment - because we really care.
Take a deep breath today, hunt for your biggest girl pants and stay positive. Wishing you all the help and treatment, reassurance and support you need and sending love to you. ? ??

Marydoll Tue 12-Jan-21 08:26:56

Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, where its -3° C.
Mick, I too miss going two shows. The last one we went to was War Horse, a gift from two Christmases away!
The Genesis concert we have booked has been postponed twice, who knows if we will ever get!

Sending my warmest wishes and prayers to Auntiflo, who has been a very supportive and kind friend throughout my own troubles. ?

Beauregard, I can understand your husband's anxiety, its only natural. It will be over before you know it. Sending my best wishes to you both.

Baubles, hope you got the new car. My friend, the Ebay queen has told me to look out of the window later. She has exchanged her mini for a soft top, convertible Smart car. ?
I'm raging at her, everyone in Rome drives them and I have always lusted after a red sporty one!! ?
To keep the battery topped up, DH is going to have to squeeze into my car this morning and take it for a run, since I'm not allowed to drive just now. He thoroughly dislikes my bright yellow car, too small, too bright ? and not good for his image!!!! ?

I'm feeling very low this morning. Yesterday I found out that two people, whom I know very well from church were in A&E at the same time as me last week. One died yesterday morning, (it looks Covid related, his family are all now in isolation for fourteen days) and the other has had a stroke.
Then the Ebay queen phoned over to tell me her next door neighbour has also had a stroke. We are a very close knit community here in our wee cul de sac, as we have all been here for over twenty five years.
All this sad news has hit me quite hard, therefore for the grace of God go I. I am so fortunate to have come home from hospital relatively unscathed. ?

Now that my second Covid test has come back negative, I'm going to try and walk around the cul de sac today to try and get my strength back up. I seem to be permanently exhausted.

Look after yourselves dear friends and seize the moment, don't footer about, putting things off. Do it now!!!

Sparklefizz Tue 12-Jan-21 08:38:48

Good morning Mick and all GNs from damp South Glos.

Auntieflo I am so sorry to read your bad news. As a fellow breast cancer survivor, my heart goes out to you. Sending virtual hugs and my very best wishes for some suitable treatment.

Hope your husband's op goes well Beauregard. No last minute postponements. And good luck with the blood test NanKate.

Love the photos Ashcombe. Always good to see something uplifting.

My AC gave me theatre tokens for Christmas '19. I was going to use them last March and rang the theatre who have marked them forward a year. Suspect I will have to ring them again for a further postponement. Have no fear, Mick, we will get our theatre trips at some point in the future smile

Thoughts to all who are ill or struggling. Hope you all have the best day possible. x

Pittcity Tue 12-Jan-21 08:40:36

Good morning from a grey, damp Colchester. Feels a little warmer than of late.
DH has borrowed an excercise bike from his usual gym and will be in the garage doing online spin classes. He is also allowed to go fishing for a couple of hours locally. This gives me a bit of precious time to myself.
I will walk to Lidl and get the ingredients for this week's meals.

Big hugs to all especially Auntiflo flowers

Sparklefizz Tue 12-Jan-21 08:41:40

Hugs and flowers to Marydoll

Kalu Tue 12-Jan-21 08:47:24

Good morning all from a frosty Glasgow. There is a pink tinge to a bright sunrise so hoping this is a sign of some sunshine today.

Main task this morning is to attend to bird feeders. Rock salt will be needed to avoid any more spills on the ice.

I am so sorry to read your news Auntieflo. My best wishes for any forthcoming treatment and my dearest wish, this will result in a positive outcome for you ?

Hope everyone has a good enough day as we continue to plod on.

Nortsat Tue 12-Jan-21 08:48:37

Good morning Mick and the GM team from east London where it is grey.

Auntieflo flowers for you. And I second GrandmaFrench in her kind and wise words. Take the time needed to steady yourself and hold on to your lovely husband.

Sorry to hear you’re feeling low Marydoll.
Hope all goes well for your husband Beauregard.

Admin, housework and hopefully a walk for me today.
We had takeaway pizza last night, not something we do very often at all, but I suddenly found I was sick of cooking.

Have a good day, all. Keep warm, stay safe and ‘let’s be careful out there’.

dragonfly46 Tue 12-Jan-21 08:49:36

Morning from S Lanarkshire, frosty but lovely bright skies here. Slept on this morning so will read posts later, I stopped at Beauregard, good luck to your husband for his op. Didn’t get out yesterday, it was really windy here but definitely a walk today. I don’t know why but I realise I am reluctant when it comes to it.
Have a good day everyone.

Nannytopsy Tue 12-Jan-21 09:09:41

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
Grey skies here in Suffolk after rain overnight. I will finish off the decorating in the bathroom today. It was delayed by home schooling yesterday. ?
I really wish it would stop raining now - there is gardening to be done!
? for Auntieflo, Beauregard, Marydoll and everyone else with worries and sadness. Glad to hear of the negative Covid results for some, like *Kitty’s” DS.
Lovely DH never admits that I snore but DD&DSIL are very vocal about it. How rude!
Better get moving I suppose. I hope the day is kind to everyone.

NannyJan53 Tue 12-Jan-21 09:15:30

Good morning from a dull and damp Black Country.

No real plans again today, cannot wait until the weather brightens up, so we can get out in the garden.

We have an electrician booked for Thursday, but I think we will put him off for a while. Luckily it is not an urgent job, but will feel bad about cancelling.

Scentia I would definitely contact your insurers. I had a car hit mine on the drive 6 years ago. Insurance sorted it very quickly, and it was written off. I wouldn't let a 'mate' anywhere near it!

Good luck with the test results NanKate

Auntieflo I echo grandMatties words. We are all here for you to offload flowers

kitty that is such a relief about your DS.

Hoping your DH's op goes well Beauregard

Hugs and flowers to Marydoll

Wishing you all a good day
