Catching up on Facebook takes an awfully long time. I've read a number of family posts. Must share a photo of great grandson Ted with you. He'll be celebrating his third birthday this month.

My thoughts and very best wishes winging their way to dear Panache and her husband. Thank you for relaying the message, Doodle. We appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Izabella I also think that you have a special gift with words. I wish that I could be a fraction as eloquent. Beautiful images transport us to a magical place. Thanks to you.

Soop what a lovely photo! My little monster will be 2 this month and boy is he in the terrible twos. Today has been a battle of wills. He's now home for his mum and dad to deal with and I am contemplating a G & T. Stay safe all.

Brilliant news soop

Puzzler61 Tue 02-Feb-21 17:33:29

Your announcement deserves a fanfare ? ? soop.
You need a cup of tea (or something stronger) as you must be in a kind of euphoric shock! ? ☕️

Greyduster Tue 02-Feb-21 17:48:06

Hello the kitchen! I bring freshly made (well, this afternoon) chocolate, banana and walnut brownies, as DH is not keen and though I’m sure I could make a heroic effort of eating them all on my own, it would neither be healthy nor sensible! We have had a snowed in day, so baking filled part of the afternoon nicely.
N&G poor Sam looks properly fed up, poor lad! Let’s hope the vet can sort him out soon and have him back on top form.
Soop reconnected at last! You must be mightily relieved, and I should jolly well think they are going to compensate you! That’s a whopping snowman that Ted has built. Hope he doesn’t disappear too quickly!
We have a face time with DS shortly. His cat is poorly and it’s not looking good, so it’ll be a listening ear he needs I think, not our usual jokey banter. I had better go and gird up my loins. TOYA.

Excellent news soop. Good to know you are full speed ahead again.

Mya has had two days on new diet now and back to normal - just like that as ~Tommy Cooper said. She was so glad to do our walk off the lead this afternoon. Had to keep her tethered to check on her poops.grin She up to top speed too now. Tired herself out. zzzz on the sofa now.

Clean bill of health with dentist. Hygienist was a bit too thorough.
soop. Snowman. ❤️ We've had a teaspoon full.

Cauliflower curry and naans tonight and last of my chocolate beetroot cake.

N&G Sam's so lovely

Fennel Tue 02-Feb-21 18:00:57

Hooray! - so glad to hear the news about the cable repair soop. And financial compensation .I suppose they had to dig it up to find out.
I was going to say I know how it feels but we never had such a long deprivation.

‘Evening All’
?

Sad news isn’t it about Captain Sir Tom Moore?

Well I put away my candle bridge as it’s Candlemas and made up some lights this afternoon to put in it’s place on my bedroom windowsill. I like lights in a bottle so i had saved an Edinburgh Gin one which has an attractive blue base and the other one, from one of my favourite Scottish malts - Dalmore. I love the antlers on the bottle ... and the whisky is rather nice too!
?

Here are photos of my handiwork.

On that note I’m away to eat a bowl of chilli made this morning by Himself. I wish you all a pleasant and peaceful night ahead. x

‘Goodnight All’.

Urmstongran Tue 02-Feb-21 18:41:00

Ps sorry - meant to say glad your internet connection is back up soop ... wasn’t it kind of your neighbour to lend you that dongle, otherwise you’d have been MIA for weeks!

Bellanonna Tue 02-Feb-21 21:57:21

Phew! At last soop! Thank goodness.

What a lovely snowman and equally lovely little Ted.

brook2704 Tue 02-Feb-21 22:08:54

Brilliant news soop at long long last - So pleased it’s eventually sorted!
Really like the lights in the bottles idea urms they look good?
Great news about Mya muse and thank you for the cake greyduster it’s yummy

Hellogirl1 Tue 02-Feb-21 22:50:53

Great to see you back "proper" Soop!

Nannytopsy Wed 03-Feb-21 00:23:09

Huzzah! soop’s properly reconnected!
We have our two little people here tonight ?. M and D are both on night shifts. DGD is quite an anxious little fellow and took a couple of hours to go to sleep tonight. He hasn’t seen much of his daddy because of the shift pattern and misses him terribly. We decided Marcella probably wouldn’t help so watched the celebrity cooks instead!
Home school tomorrow, starting with handwriting!
Sleep tight everyone
X

Morning all,

Welcome back Soop ! I hope that discount is a big one !!

I love the picture of Mya , that’s a dog who is at home !!

Pass me. Brownie please Grey !! Or two !

Sam is looking so much better this morning . His new neck protector arrived yesterday . I’ll grab a pic later so you can have a chuckle! The lump on his neck is still very big but he’s so much brighter. Hopefully the vet will sort it out on Thursday and we can put the whole thing to bed.

I’m off on my weekly trip out !? It comes to something when a trip to click and collect the groceries is a trip out !

annodomini Wed 03-Feb-21 10:13:10

Fantastic news that you are re-connected, soop. You and MacS have the patience of saints??. I hope you got mega apologies - sackcloth and ashes - as well as financial recompense.
Another dreich morning here. I think it's trying to rain, just when I want to take my new wheelie bag down to the co-op and replenish my shrinking food supply. ?

Bellanonna Wed 03-Feb-21 11:03:48

Apologies in advance if I’m not allowed to ask,but I haven’t seen Ann60 for a while. Perhaps I’ve just missed her, or maybe she has said she is taking a break. I hope all is well with her.

dragonfly46 Wed 03-Feb-21 11:22:12

I think AnnSixty was taking a break but I will PM her and see how she is Bellanonna.

I love the lights Urmston I have the lights - just need to empty the bottle now!

Yiayia4 Wed 03-Feb-21 14:15:17

Very good news Soop and a great picture of Ted in the snow.
Not much to say today just missing my family as most of us are.
Tomorrow will be a good day see you all then stay safe.

Bellanonna Wed 03-Feb-21 14:33:09

Thank you dragonfly ?

soop Wed 03-Feb-21 14:37:04

Bellanonna Our Ann did say that she was taking a wee break in order to recharge her batteries.

Greyduster You really shouldn't spoil us lot - but there again, why not? We'll all gather together for a calorie-rich feast.

N&G Please pass on gentle pats to Sam. Good boy!

muse Mya is quite obviously suffering hmm If she relaxes just a wee bit more, she'll be on the carpet. grin

Urmstongran Mr Soop was given a beautiful Dalmore whisky tumbler complete with the stag's head decoration in pewter. I like your handiwork. Very effective.

Callistemon Wed 03-Feb-21 15:17:08

I was wondering how annsixty is too, but didn't dare ask as we aren't supposed to do that.

Lovely picture of Ted and his very large snowman soop! Did Ted help him pick his nose?
(Sorry blush but Ted might get the joke!).

That reminded me, Urmstongran, I have some of those bottle lights somewhere, ordered a long while ago and never used and an empty blue bottle. I must try to set it up as I'm missing the Christmas lights.
