Hmm the less said about rugby, the better!
I am in team ironing and I have done about half my ironing. I fell asleep in the chair for ages this afternoon after feeling strangely light headed, so it didn’t get finished. There’s always tomorrow!
Yiayia I too was a daddy’s girl and still miss him. He died seventeen years ago as well. In many ways it seems no time.
We have an amber snow warning and it is due to start now. It’s late! The wind has got up though.
Keep safe everyone and sleep well.

Soop's welcoming kitchen for kindly caring folk...
(1001 Posts)Welcome dear Kitcheners. I shall pour the cocktails. Make yourselves comfortable and enjoy the wonderous food provided in the buffet.
Now that you all have a place to relax, I shall leave you to enjoy your first evening in this truly special kitchen.

Morning all,
Its a wintery morning here with the snow trying to fall. Its windy too so if it does come down we'll have drifts pretty quickly.
Now I don't work I don't mind the snow because its not like I was going anywhere anyway :-)
I'm another one who had an ironing lady Grandmafrench. I always felt I couldn't have a cleaner because Id be obliged to clean first but to have my ironing done was heaven !!
Good to see you in the kitchen Kitty ! The flowers are beautiful . I always think of my Nana when I see your name as she was called Kitty .
Sam is doing well Charleygirl . The swelling is well on its way down and we have avoided the dreaded itching . He will see the vet next Friday but I do think an operation will be necessary to remove the sac or it will simply reoccur.
I am planning on doing the sum total of nothing today. I shall sit and read, drink coffee and watch the snow :-) Its a tough life !!
Happy days all x
Can’t recall when I have slept for so many hour, almost 11 last night. Mr C said he checked I was still breathing a couple of times, just had breakfast in bed so really must stir. It’s a dry, bright day here, a walk definitely on the cards. Apparently very cold outside, can cope with that.
Good news about Sam n&g, he’s been a worry for sure. Cleaners? We had several spells when life was overtaken with work and cleaning wouldn't have happened without cleaners coming to our rescue. I tidied but never felt the need to clean before they came. Not sure what that says about me
.
My apologies, can recall little of yesterday’s posts so love to all and a special hug for anyone finding life hard going.
Lots of things in life change and not always for the better, however one place never changes and that is our Sanctuary here under the guidance of you dear Soop
From the very bottom of my heart a very big thank you for the way so very many of you have responded to our plight. with such huge caring hearts
It is such an uplift knowing so very many hold us in prayerful thoughts.
It is indeed balm to our troubled hearts.
It is so good knowing this side of humankind.
Hope you all enjoy a peaceful day.
Panache Rest with us lot whenever you need comforting. We are here for you.
Flower of Scotland... I am thrilled for the team. A well deserved win. And, yes, I did yell at the top of my voice.
I have had several cleaning jobs throughout the course of my life. I did an evening shift in St Andrew's private hospital for people being treated for drug/drink problems. I worked for an admiral's wife and for a lady whose husband captained a nuclear sub. I worked as a nanny/housekeeper, cleaned the local library, in fact, so many cleaning jobs I've lost count. Most of them were slotted in between full time jobs of many types. All kind of interesting. Not necessarily from your view point. It is how I earned an extra dollar.
N&G and Sam enjoy a peaceful Sunday.
kitty Your flower arrangements are a joy. Thank you. x
I am in awe of cleaners truly. Its a job that some people are good at ( my daughter is one- we call her the Queen of Bleach) . Sadly, I am at the other end of the scale and take no pleasure in it.
Dust is a protective covering for furniture in my house :-)
N&G Mr Soop agrees 100% with you.
Here are three photos that I took through the wee side window late yesterday afternoon.
Yet more ironing awaits. I shall cheer on the Irish rugby team this afternoon.
Wonderful pictures as usual, soop.
Lovely pictures soop such beautiful colours, thank you
I’m team Ireland too as DH is from NI, I was team England yesterday, perhaps I’d better leave the room this afternoon.
Wonderful sunsets, soop. Your pictures make me nostalgic for the west of Scotland where the sunsets are incomparable. You shame me - I am a reluctant cleaner. My motto could be 'there's always tomorrow', but I say that again tomorrow... Before the first lockdown I had a cleaner every two weeks which was just enough for my small house. But he went off to volunteer and I haven't found a replacement yet.
Fabulous sunsets soop.
I'm a lazy mare and have always had a cleaner- I hate cleaning with a vengeance. I'm not proud just accepting!!
It's perishing here so I've made hot chocolate with added flakes, marshmallows and whipped cream. Enjoy!
N&G I am so pleased to hear that Sam is on the mend but the poor little mite has had a horrendous time. Hopefully he can have a good rest during the day and enjoy his sleep at night without the awful itching. He will not appreciate having surgery but if it stops a repeat performance of what he has gone through I would also go for it.
Panache I hope you also can get some rest.
I keep checking the heating is still working as it is so cold here- cold enough for snow and it is a snowy sky.
corner if you slept for so long you must have needed it. I only hope you can sleep tonight.
TOYA
Ireland put up a very brave attempt. The match was exciting.
The gentleman in Whitehouse (six plus miles away) has shared a photo of the cat that may be Fern. She had lunch here and left before 2 o'clock. His photo shared at 4:45. However, Mr Soop has just told me that she is waiting outside the back door. Which is puzzling. Unless she has a moped.
What a mystery.
Enjoy your Sunday evening. I must now feed said cat and notify the gent in Whitehouse. Such excitement.

Popping into the kitchen to say a quick hello before we have our yummy smelling beef casserole. I did write a post earlier but somehow deleted it before I'd posted!! Virtual hugs all around and stay safe
Very excited here as Met Office has put us on a snow warning until Wednesday, I’ll be driving DH mad bobbing up and down to check all evening!
Soop those are gorgeous sunsets. Kittylester hot chocolate sounds scrumptious. I'm waiting for the potatoes and veg to be boiled to bits and then roast chicken and mash it is. I've felt a bit out of sorts today. Not exactly ill but a bit meh. So an early bed I think. It's still cold with polystyrene snow balls falling. Have a good evening all.
Hello to all kitcheners. Hoping everyone has had a good day.
I think I can smell the beef casserole Bladeannie. Just the day for it. Kitty ‘s pure yellow tulips are a treat, also the sight of your sunset soop. I laughed at the picture in my head of Fern on a moped. A think a ‘cat cam’ is needed to put your mind at rest.
I can’t join in the conversation about cleaning on a Sunday - it is banished. I don’t do any if the day starts with an “S”. ?
We must all keep our fires stoked up and the heating turned up. ? Take care.
I think, not A!
Cant hope to catch up with everything that has gone on. Pleased to hear Panache has visited to say hello again to all those who know her.
I will say TOYA and am now just going to sit quietly and read through all that I have missed. Take care all
Popping back to say hello ? to any new kitcheners I have missed.
Hope poor Sam is on the mend now.
Corner and kitty hope things are ok for you.
Soop glad you are connected again.
Galen not frogspawn time again ?
Hope everyone keeps safe and well
Up early again for Mya's morning poop walk. Finished cleaning the floor then Mya poddled in. Bedroom nearly sorted. It needs fitted wardrobes and accessories! Looking for something for the French doors in there. Any ideas? Sun streaming in this afternoon!
Found some wire mesh I can use to protect the little Cornish apple tree I have. The deer nibbled all the ends last year. It was in blossom too.
Think the mice have got the daffodil bulbs I planted (2 dozen). About 1/3 have come up with the tips chewed.
