Forgot to say: Spectacular sunset Soop.
Hope everyone has had a safe Sunday.
‘Evening All’
?
We’ve had a lovely lunch & afternoon in our support bubble. Good conversation and wine (me) passed the time along very pleasantly. This past hour or so I’ve been reading, cosy and content. Just eaten a Lindt bunny (I’m calling that dessert) and got a cuppa beside me. Life is good isn’t it when we have our health, our family is safe and our needs are met? I’m very grateful.
soop those photos really are beautiful. If I was sat by that ‘wee window’ I’d be more than happy to watch that sky with those gorgeous colours for ages.
Jaxjacky I think I used a little poetic licence with the word ‘slattern’. Oops! It’s a great word isn’t it - but I agree, it doesn’t put brook and ourselves in a flattering light!
GrandmaFrench I trust your foot/ankle pain has now resolved? That was some shock to your system.
I hope Sunday night is as peaceful as possible for you all dear kitcheners. I am missing our ‘lady with the thin dog’ as I’m sure are many of us. So sad. x
‘Goodnight All’.
soop, maybe Fern has an identical twin! A ginger cat I had many years ago had a doppelganger which came from the same parentage but from a subsequent litter. You may have to consider getting her a wee crash helmet. ?
Cafe Parisian to warm the cockles.
Slight snow here but very cold.
Kind thoughts to all sleep well.
Just had roast chicken, with our own leeks and parsnips, and blackcurrant sponge, also our own for pud. DH was underwhelmed by the result yesterday, but Scottish SiL was happy! Fern must have a doppelganger Soop! Thinking of the Panaches, a difficult time for them. More cold weather forecast for tomorrow, wish spring would hurry up!
I’m jealous of your snow GrannyGravy13 the GC’s are poised apparently with sleds, gloves etc and not even a flake yet, I hope they wake up to some. *Urmstongran I’ve always quite liked wench, appropriate for this kitchen, don’t look up lazy girl, google selected the Urban Thesaurus, I learnt something new! don’t think we’ll be trying it though. (bet you look ?).
Also missing the lady with the headgear dog; sad for others bearing heavy loads.
Snow started ???
I shan’t look ....
Anyway I’m #lazyGRAN. Not girl.
(would that make a difference though? ?)
Good morning, beautiful crisp morning here in north Manchester, just a smattering of snow. I’m hoping to get a decent walk in as Sunday started with food and continued in that way. Huge breakfast, cake, even bigger Sunday roast followed by apple crumble and custard. Today I must try to east slightly less.
Have a good day everyone
The ‘snow’ is rubbish! Flurries I believe they’re called, could do better ?
Morning all !!
We have a decent amount of the white stuff - Sam wanted to go outside, stuck his nose out and decided he didn't need to go so badly!!
In 2018 when we were snowed in Grampy had to go out and clear a small space as Sam wasn't thrilled about snow being high enough to touch his..... well you get the picture :-)
Lovely pictures Soop , I wish I could paint but I can't draw a straight line !!
Everyone's food sounds wonderful - if I was ever rich I'd have a chef ! It would be my idea of heaven !!
The little ones are enjoying the weather but they have all grown since we saw them so many months ago. Ive added a couple of pics of their smiley faces .
Happy day all x
and they then they appeared??????
We now have about 2” of snow which is a bit disappointing. DGC’s return to school postponed as the school is closed.
Yesterday we started to sort the study and DH has ordered new storage boxes. He starts these systems then doesn’t put things away! ? I shall carry on with the blanket - 12 more squares to go! They are knitted in rows of three, which means much less seeing up.
There is celery and Stilton soup for lunch just waiting for you to warm it - enjoy.
N&G Fabulous photos.
Back soon. Cat has decided to put in an appearance.
N&G the children are certainly growing. Poor Sam, I would not like to have to do my business outside in the snow.
It is -2C here so no doubt very slippery outside, but I doubt if the snow will last-maybe gardens but not the roads. I will have to go out if only to retrieve my bins.
TOYA
Icing sugar snow here. But a fierce icy wind from the East so it's bitter out. I don't think I'll be taking dgs out for a walk as the paths are slippy and I'm expecting a delivery today of cars for him to play with. He's not long gone for a nap as he was too excited earlier. I have put transport decals on his bedroom wall and he loves them. I'm having a cuppa and I'll tidy up the living room. Have a good day all.
Hello again lovely peoples. No snow here on the west coast of Scotland. A mere dusting on the caps of the peaks. Bitterly cold wind and bright sunshine.
N&G Our Sam shouldn't have to suffer the indignity of chilly nether regions. He's been through quite enough palaver recently.
Fern arrived at noon. Ate half a dish of food and buzzed orf. That's gratitude in spades from a feline with attitude.
I'm needing to plug myself into a buck-me-up booster. Am feeling awfully sluggish. Mojo running on a low battery.
I shall return a little later. That's a promise.
I like all your latest photos, especially the swan on the frozen lake. Very atmospheric.
You lot have been enjoying many of my favourite calorie-free dishes recently. I would so love a large bowl of crumble topped with real custard. I can but dream.
I also wish that I could watch some tennis. Hey ho! I am not in the mood for housework. I shall join those of you who have a tendency to be laid back or whatever.
Just popping in the kitchen to say hello. A lazy day at the mill today - we had snow overnight and today has alternated between sunshine and snow flurries. The log burner is working overtime as I sit knitting my baby hats and watching a bit if catch up TV. Virtual hugs all around and can I share a little bit of happiness? My DD1 is expecting another baby
. I've known a few weeks but it was a secret until after the scan. So she's now 13 weeks along and all is well. Baby's due date on DGDs 2nd birthday in August!!
