How do I bring this issue up with our neighbours?
How do you hang your washing out?
Thought this might amuse some of you!
Welcome dear Kitcheners. I shall pour the cocktails. Make yourselves comfortable and enjoy the wonderous food provided in the buffet.
Now that you all have a place to relax, I shall leave you to enjoy your first evening in this truly special kitchen.

GG13 Good fun. Wish I was 6 again and out on my red sled
.
-23° recorded at Braemar.
. and I'm moaning because it's currently 0° here (Cornwall).
Great to see pics of cake and children.
Galen, sorry you’ve ended up in the clink, aka hospital and hope you’re well cared for and soon on the mend
Urmston, your Dixon always makes me smile. It was a favourite in our house. Until he joined the CID when I was 5, me dad wore that uniform and hat. I have his whistle, one sister his truncheon and the other his number epaulettes
Morning all,
In a fit of madness Grampy thought a walk in the forest was a good idea this morning. -5 !! Let me say that again ..... -5!!!!
It was beautiful though but oooh the wind was whistling through the trees. Lots of jets overhead from the nearby bases but they are tricky to get a shot of .
Sam was in his element and feeling lots better. I'll post a couple of pics.
Happy day all xx
Good afternoon lovely peoples. I have a few photos to share with you.
Galen I hope that you've had a restful night. I've yet to spend a quiet night in a hospital bed. I always enjoy rice pud if it's on the menu.
BladeAnnie You have my respect.
Urmstongran Whenever there is a funeral in our village, there is almost always a lone piper. A very moving sight and sound.
Still no snow. Bright and cold but ice-free. We believe that "our cat" and Whitehouse gent's cat are not the same. It's impossible for one cat to be in two locations at the same time.
GrannyGravy Happy day sledging, Birthday Boy!
Iam64
N&G What a joy to see that our Sam is looking bright eyed and bushy tailed.
muse Wrap up warm and enjoy the fresh air. It's good for us, apparently.
Phone call this morning. The dentist is now officially able to use the drill. I'm to return for treatment that was postponed a few months ago. Hip-hip-hoo-bloody-ray.
I think you are a rare breed Soop to be cheering the dentists drill!
Sam looks very happy and I love the snow photo, but 5am, good grief! And GG13 that reminds me of when, as a child, I lived in Perth, sledging down the hill, avoiding the pond at the bottom. Not a chance of snow here, next week we will be 11deg, a whole 10 up on today, still time for it to go down again though before Spring is truly here.
Jax It is a date with the torture chamber. The very notion of the sound of the drill fills me with terror.
Lovely to see a smiling Sam and see him scampering around and clearly do much better.
We have been for a walk with our little Sam, there is a biting wind and it is perishing. Every day this week I've said 'that it is colder today ' but it IS today. I'm now thawing out by the log burner and having a coffee.
Gosh a birthday and snow for your grandson GG13, I bet he's a happy little boy.
Lovely photos N&G the snow scene is like a Christmas card scene, it is beautiful. As are your photos soop, I think I would be permanently glued to your window with views like that.
Thanks for the lovely pics nice to see dogs, snow and beautiful views.
Nothing much to add having a bit of a low day.
Stay safe everyone be back tomorrow.
Yiayia "having a bit of a low day..." We've all have that experience during these testing times. There have been days when, I'm ashamed to say, I have wanted to remain in bed. Something inside compels me to make an effort. It won't always be like this. (hugs)
Lins It is a wind that cuts into the bone marrow. The weather will improve. Warmer days are promised and we'll all feel the sunshine on our faces once again. You mark my words.
If anyone can remember which Gran asked me to save some flower seeds for her, (some time ago now) I would be very grateful, as I've a few stored away for her husband.
Fern has arrived for early supper. She's in the utility room.
A lovely end of day. A fishing boat has chugged by and the gulls are accompanying it on it's way.
Until tomorrow, TOYA.

Evening all,
Sorry to hear you're feeling low Yiayia , I have been known to have days where I just don't get up so I sympathise. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I find if I can find one small thing to take pleasure in things look brighter. (Chocolate always helps :-) )
No not 5am Jax - I don't see that time of day these days lol - it was -5 temperature wise. I showed Grampy your post and he laughed himself silly- I'm a lazy bugger .
Much as I hate the dentist Soop I am slightly envious. I am desperate for treatment but will have to wait at least until the current lockdown finishes - whenever that may be.
I am missing news from Annsixty - I know she was taking a rest from GN but if you're reading this Ann- a wave would be lovely !!
I'd love a wave from Ann too!
Lots of lovely photos again today. We had to go out to out petrol in the car - don't know who has been using it - and saw these amazing ice formations where the road nearly always has a big puddle. They had obviously frozen as they landed. Beautiful.
Gale, you really must take more water with it. I'm glad you are sounding so chirpy.
yiayia, I'm sorry you are feeling low. Keep coming to soop's wonderful kitchen and we will try to cheer you up.
Off to make pasta bake. TOYA.
Oops NanandGrampy must clean my glasses! Apologies Soop your hip, hips were obviously slight hysteria ? Amazing pictures kittlylester nature is stunning. Missing Grandmafrench today, maybe later. Another very cold day, becoming a cold night, I’m off to prep a beef sausage tray bake.
Lovely photos Kitty. DH is creating fajitas in the kitchen while I sit and knit. I will get this blanket finished!
soop it looks like the snow is coming your way - I am just watching the weather forecast. Should be better by Monday.
I hope everyone has a good night.
Galen
Now I’ll go and catch up with the rest of the kitcheners.
‘Evening All’
?
Lovely snow picture GG13 with the little dot who is the birthday boy on the red sled Snow sent just for his birthday - one to remember!
?
A lovely end of day. A fishing boat has chugged by and the gulls are accompanying it on it's way.
What an evocative description soop. So calming.
I could say in comparison the 256 bus into Manchester city centre has just pulled away from the bus stop below us, all lit up ... with 2 passengers aboard.
?
Not similar nor picturesque!
Finished the novel I was reading earlier. ‘The Thursday Murder Club’. It was pretty dire. I only stuck it to the end because our Yorkshire Lass bought it for me as a Christmas present!
Wishing everybody a pleasant and peaceful night. x
‘Goodnight All’.
Wonderful photos Kitty!
Urm I had my doubts about the book. It had lots of hype.
Yiayia You have my sympathies. After too many of those last year, I bought a 2021 diary. It's been very cathartic for me. Page a day. Sometimes I could do with more than one page.
To help me through a low day I read an entry I made at the end of a much more agreeable day
Husband is sat at the table surrounded by O rings. Mya has done all she needs to do on her evening walk so it's bed for me.
Goodnight all. I've read and caught up - all seems well in the Kitchen world, except YiaYia is feeling a bit low and poor Galen is detained (against her will.). Get well, Galen and these are for you both. x ??
Lots of snow, still. I've had the day run off without me, although I had a very busy morning - all doors open whilst I steam mopped all the floors (what is the matter with me?) Afternoon spent on the beach in glorious weather. Thanks for the shout-out Jax. Will see you tomorrow morning.
Sleep well, dream better and wake filled with hope, all of you!
TOYA
I read that book and was disappointed too Urmston.
Our kitchen gallery of photo’s yesterday was a feast for the eyes. How wonderful is technology that we all get to share them?
Yiayia hope today is better for you.
Chinese New Year today so we have a 3 course meal from Waitrose Chinese range to look forward to tonight.
DH had his jab yesterday and so far has only complained of a bit of a sore arm. It was the Pfizer one.
Leaving a vase of spring blooms - Daffodils & Cheerfulness. I’ve placed them somewhere cool so they will open slowly.
Sorry they’re not edible but I’m sure one of our baking Grans will call into the kitchen soon with tempting goodies?
Wishing all a good day.
How are you today YiaYia?
Puzzle61 - We were both Pfizerred a week ago now. A bit of a sore arm too with us but gone in 48 hrs. No other side effects. Can't wait for my daffs (Cornish Chuckles) to open up and there will be a vase inside too. Planted 30 more bulbs last year .
Poorly Mya again. Had 8 normal days then woke up to more this morning. Calling the vet but didn't know what it was last time. New diet now for 2 weeks. She's not been off the lead for a week so I can make sure she doesn't eats anything else besides her food.
Hope today improves.
I'll pop back later tonight. Stay safe everyone
I hope Mya’s poor tummy can be sorted once and for all and that your Cornish Chuckles come into bloom soon muse . Love the name - must look out for some of those bulbs. ?
Thank you all for your kindness, you are all lovely and this is the best and only place to be.
Just had a bit of a wobble plus my psoriasis has flared and makes me miserable.
Today I will pull my socks up I have ordered a diamond art birthday card kit! Has anyone tried it? will let you know how it goes!
Hope you all have a nice day and Galen will be home very soon.
Greetings to Yiayia I'm sending you some west coast of Scotland sunshine. Stay well wrapped up against the chilly wind.
Galen Us lot trust that you are behaving and feeling well rested.
muse Poorly Mia needs more tender loving care and gentle, get well soon snuggles.
Thank you Puzzler, golden flowers for sunny thoughts.
Urms the 256 into Manchester... You have made me laugh. Bless you.
Back in a few minutes. A certain black cat is hoping for a hearty lunch.
