I think there are worse actors in Corrie than the Baileys (looking at you, Dev, Daisy and Sharon), and it's about time there was a black family on the street. I warmed to Eddie when he made his speech in the bistro about racism. The storyline round James's sexuality and his footballing career looks to be back in the forefront this week (according to the Radio Times). Much more interesting imho than all these daft bumbling gangster plotlines (Debbie and Ray, Todd and Mick, Sharon and Harvey, Scott, Gary Windass and his loan-sharking goons). Every time new characters appear in the Rovers these days I'm expecting them to be wrong 'uns.
