Your favourite coffee and tea?

Have been a Yorkshire tea drinker for years but horrified at the thought of how many tea bags we throw away that contain plastic have swapped to a mix of loose tea, PG new biodegradable bags and Clipper for herbal teas ,which I like the Fennel and Chamomile in the something.Hopefully YT will improve their bags soon.
Coffee made on the hob in an Italian espresso pot at breakfast.Lavazza or recently Cafe Direct actually prefer and often on offer.In the afternoon if I need a pick up Kenco Millicano instant with some milk done in the frother.But no caffeinated tea or coffee after 3pm or it definitely affects my sleep.

Yorkshire Gold my 'must have' tea. Coffee is whatever instant on offer.I make up for it when visiting family in the U.S .
Spoilt for choice .

I love Yorkshire tea and fresh coffee, illy, Lavassa and Costa. When I am in a coffee shop, I stink latte.

Cafetiere household here, frankly it is only a matter of boiling the kettle the same as you would for an instant, so I really don't know why anyone drinks instant! Taylor's Italian Blend, or Sainsbury's equivalent. I drink tea and coffee black, so teawise I like Earl or Lady Grey with lemon, and when in a Chinese restaurant I always have (multiple) pots of chrysanthemum tea or similar, I just can't get it right at home!

I’ve recently gone back to loose leaf tea from tea bags and our current favourite is Sainsbury’s own brand Assam. I recently discovered ‘fill your own’ tea/coffee bags on Amazon. I’ve never really liked instant coffee and have mostly used a cafetière for ground coffee, but these bags are really good - unbleached cotton with a drawstring and they’re compostible. I fill them with our favourite coffees, Hot Lava Java and Illy Crema e Gusto and store in an airtight jar. They take about a rounded dessert spoon full to make a decent sized mug of coffee.

Actually just checked as I could remember. Just in case anyone was interested - the Crema e Gusto coffee isn’t Illy it’s Lavazza.

Only tea for me and the best is Barries, Yorkshire tea if I can’t get Barries.

Pammiel I was just going to jump in and say surely Crema e Gusto is Lavazza. I do like illy coffee but it's so expensive! At the moment I'm using a Colombian coffee fom Aldi which is rather nice.

I drink Nespresso coffees, choice of different strengths. Double espresso first thing in the morning is a necessary kick start to the day. ? Occasionally, macchiato or stove top for ground coffee

Earl Grey and Lapsang, fresh spearmint from the garden in summer are the only teas I drink.

Whilst living in France I regularly visited a local tea shop with a wonderful selection of different flavoured teas/tisanes which were drunk on certain occasions or certain times of day.

Water used in different areas, countries, can make quite a difference to the taste of coffees and teas I have noticed.

We visited a tea plantation in Sri Lanka and were told that the best tea is sold loose and the tea that is put into teabags is inferior.

Decaf instant all the time at home. Nescafé Azeera Americana at the moment and decaf Tetley tea bags. When I’m out it’s decaf cappuccino but I’ve no real favourite. I don’t like it particularly strong either.
Back in the 70’s when first married and gifted a percolator we tried lots of ground beans from a specialist shop but never found one I liked so said I’d stick to a decent instant. Also used to wonder how long coffee could sit in the pot before it was served. Not the same now thank goodness with the advent of the new machines and baristas.

For tea I like Tetley, Thomson’s or PG tips. I buy whichever might be on special offer. I always make in a teapot as I like to have a top up half way through my cuppa.

I enjoy instant coffee at home. I’ve recently discovered Nescafé Azera Americano. A lovely smooth coffee and it’s my new favourite.

Oh yummmm. A coconut or oat milk latte from Costa .
Or fresh mint tea from cafe 51 .

I’ve always thought this, although my only ‘proof’ is the fine dust left at the bottom of the caddy after the teabags have gone. You don’t get this with loose tea.
