I've developed quite a habit of having a biscuit with every cup of tea. Considering I drink up to 8 cups a day I'm starting to think this is bad lol.

As from tomorrow I'm cutting it down to 1 in 2

No I don't, but my husband has his secret stash, and does as you do.

I have many cups of tea and coffee throughout the day but I only have a biscuit in the afternoon with one cuppa. I try to be disciplined.

Of course! A cup of tea is too wet without a biscuit! I too drink a lot of tea, so I try to stick to plain biscuits.

BlueSky ?? I’m now pondering the wetness of tea! Perhaps if I had a biscuit with I might finish more cups of tea or remember to drink them hot.
I like McV digestives, but once I start them I find them moreish so I gave up buying them.

I never have a biscuit with tea as I think it spoils the taste of the tea.

Biscuits are nice with coffee though.

I drink lots of tea but rarely have a biscuit with a cuppa.
I only have about three biscuits a week.

I have to have a biscuit with a cup of tea. I know it’s awful but I do and I find it my treat.?

grannypiper Mon 15-Feb-21 18:33:10

I'm dunking malted milk biscuits into my cuppa right now

I always have something sweet with my afternoon cup of tea - any one of the following biscuit, cake, toasted teacake and at the moment piece of Christmas cake with a chunk of Wensleydale. I always have a chocolate with my after dinner coffee.

We rarely have biscuits in the house, but OH bought Digestives to make Rocky road so have had a couple over the weekend!

Witzend Mon 15-Feb-21 18:34:50

No. I hardly ever buy biscuits because I’d never be able to have just one. Or even two.

Auntieflo Mon 15-Feb-21 18:37:06

Usually no biscuits with tea, but I did this afternoon.
Aldi Rich Tea are so crispy.

Lilypops Mon 15-Feb-21 18:38:18

OH and me are loving Rich Abernathy biscuit with our morning coffee, its hard to say no to a second one so we don’t we have two. !!! ??

Shirleyw Mon 15-Feb-21 18:41:40

I do with my first early morning cup of tea, I have 2 rich tea lights, 72 cals for the both of them...

Aldom Mon 15-Feb-21 18:41:50

I usually have a biscuit with my afternoon cup of Redbush. When friends used to come for coffee in the mornings I always offered biscuits, but not many takers usually. When on my own I don't bother. I think most of the people I know are trying to cut down on sweet things. But in these times of lockdown, I look forward to my biscuit in the afternoon. Today it was a Crimble.

Rarely. After spending nine years stacking the biscuit shelves in Tesco, I got to the stage of "if I ever see another biscuit . . . " and even though I left that job 20 years ago, I still don't much care for them.

If I do have a biscuit it will be one (or four) of the fancy proper cookie ones - chocolate covered stem ginger, or my ultimate favourite (although they're hard to find now) chocolate chip and hazelnut.

DH, on the other hand . . . . minimum of two biscuits with each cup of coffee. Probably half a dozen coffees a day.

MamaCaz Mon 15-Feb-21 18:47:55

With tea, without tea, whatever - I don't need any excuse to have a biscuit ?

Sar53 Mon 15-Feb-21 19:43:54

We have two dark chocolate digestives with coffee mid morning. We don't eat breakfast and have a light lunch around 1'sh. We don't have biscuits with tea, we drink a lot of tea !!!

Blossoming Mon 15-Feb-21 19:43:56

We very rarely buy biscuits.

NotSpaghetti Mon 15-Feb-21 19:46:12

I don't ever even think of biscuits unless someone offers them to me.
So no, I hardly ever have biscuits with tea.

Kim19 Mon 15-Feb-21 19:46:18

Only drink coffee but never with anything else. I have it milky so maybe that fills me up. Hate to think what weight I'd be if I followed the biscuit route. Also I wouldn't be able to stop at one. No willpower at the moment.

PamelaJ1 Mon 15-Feb-21 19:53:05

One good thing about covid is that no one turns up unexpectedly. I never have bought biscuits in the house.
I would be very tempted and they are such a waste of calories. Even if you break them in half and tip the calories out?
Eight a day equates to an average of 400cals at 50 cals/biscuit .
Yikes I’d be as fat as a house?

sodapop Mon 15-Feb-21 19:55:19

Fortunately I don't drink tea and one coffee per day usually. The rest of the time its just water so no biscuit needed. Good job really as I have a sweet tooth and not much willpower.
I have managed to give up chocolate for several months now.

TrendyNannie6 Mon 15-Feb-21 20:02:18

No, rarely, I tend to have tea mostly on its own
