But ....... I would have Monty Don seated at my table, crumpled clothes or not. I bet they are all linen and expensive. He doesn’t seem like the sort of person to be a fashion hobby horse but he has interesting conversation (well I love plants).

But when we see Monty Don he is gardening! He's hardly likely to be wearing his best clothes, is he? I like him because apart from his helpful advice on gardening, he is a dog lover and so am I!

Monty wore similar during his Around the World in 80 Gardens travel series, and when I went to an Audience with him at the BBC Homes & Garden Show. I think it’s his ‘look’ and what he’s comfy in.

He even struggles to dress smartly for the Chelsea Flower Show and his co presenters put him in the sartorial shade. Okay, I’ve said my last one this now. Everyone has their own opinions, and things that get under their skin?.
