I am! Dementia is a horrible debilitating disease. I’m not mocking anyone here, or Biden Himself, please do not for one moment think that.
This man isn’t up to it.
Let’s tune in on 25th March for his first nationwide broadcast. It will be interesting. And embarrassing I fear.

Joe Biden trips 3 times going up Air Force One Steps today.
(224 Posts)And questions have been raised about Mr Biden’s mental, and physical, acuity. The president on Thursday accidentally called Kamala Harris, Vice President, “President Harris”.
Throughout the election campaign he has engaged in numerous malapropisms, slurred words, mispronouncing words and misidentifying people, such as calling his wife Jill his sister.
I’ve noticed he seems to make a point of jogging on stage up to the microphone to address an audience.
I’m concerned this 78 year old really isn’t as well as is hoped.
What an age for a man to be POTUS. When you think that out of all the people in America you’d think someone fitter could represent them. Kamala is waiting in the wings I suppose.
Are you joking Alegrias? Questioning his mental state is not ?
I think it’s a key issue for POTUS.

Good grief it’s like witches stirring the cauldron what do some of you sound like? rubbing your hands in glee ‘oh he had a trip up’ rub hands again ‘keep watching he might do something else wrong’
He seems to have started some good work give the bloke a chance for crying out loud
What is the matter with some of you
You can taste the negativity
Good post. I am stunned at some of the views expressed here.
I don’t understand why you would not want to look at his policies UG ?
If you are not questioning his policies why would you want Trump back?
To refer to another discuss on here about deleting posts, one poster had a post deleted because it was “gossip and speculation “ Pretty much describes the OP

Urmston, my dad had dementia, it is, indeed, an incedibly cruel disease and not something to be bandied about lightly
I wish that you would think carefully about the things you say
I am very sorry to hear about your dad Returnofthemc. I do not wish to upset or offend you.
I agree it is a cruel disease.
My thread is about Biden’s competency.
It’s late.
I’m not ducking anything but this one-man band is off to make her Horlicks!

I got derailed. My thread wasn’t about the Democrats and their policies it was about Biden’s capability to be POTUS.
Given how much he's had to undo and deal with since the election I'd say he's just flipping knackered.
He has overcome a bad stammer. At times of stress a stammer or a wrong word could come out.
He was trying to climb up the steps too quickly to prove he is fit and nimble which was a mistake and he tripped.
I can empathise with that.

I’ll just leave this here on my way to bed. Some of you might remember it - man, woman, person, tv?
Suggestions that Biden has dementia have been round for a long time and are just part of the dark arts used by intelligence services, like that of the Russians, to undermine confidence and trust in the American government.
Trump, the Russians had in their pockets and we know that he and his associates had close contacts with Russian offficials, before and during his Presidency and the campaign for the post but Biden, is his own man, and he has a history of falls and verbal glitches. None of these need have any connection with dementia
I am surprised that Urmstongran has fallen for this kind of misinformation, she is usually quite astute in seeing through this kind of fake news..

I thought that from the beginning, why such an old man for the most powerful job in the world? There could very well be something going on.
He’s only four years older than Trump.
I’d want Biden over Trump any day. Yes, Biden us 78 and past his prime, but Trump is completely lacking in honesty, morals and character. He was unqualified to serve as President at any point in his life.
I think calling Trump a peaceful President after his disgraceful mob incitement re Capitol Hill says far more about the OP’s lack of clearsightedness than Bidens!!!!

I couldn’t understand the vitriol coming from you either, you are looking for everything you can possibly find to discredit him and I wondered why umstongran why are you so determined to prove Biden is incapable when he’s barely started? He’s politically done nothing wrong as far as
I ve read, why are you rubbing your hands in glee to think you may be able to point out anything negative about him THEN I read your post describing Trump as ‘the most peaceful president in 100 years’ and the penny dropped and it became clear.......I rarely go on the Political threads so I had no idea you held such a distorted viewpoint
Thankfully few people on here seem to agree with you
Some of the things Trump said indicated that he was intellectually challenged. I find that more alarming.

My 80 year old friend has Parkinson's and the only way he can be sure of not seizing up is by jogging or running along.
I disagree strongly with what UG has written but it's a bit much to call her a white supremacist, that's not fair.
Misguided and naive maybe, but not a white supremacist.
As others have said, no need for anyone to jog up to podiums. Barack Obama often did it, but he was much younger. It’s obviously intended to make them look fit, keen as mustard, can’t wait to speak to you all etc.
Having said that, Donald never jogged as I recall. He just seemed to plod his way onto the podium, no hurry, spinning out the moment obviously.

I think you are right, and I withdraw my remark.
White supremacists belief stems I think from colonial days when the colonial ruler - Britain believed that white races were superior to other races. I don’t think ug has ever said that she believes this.
Churchill was a white supremacist.
Urmstongran, ageist? negative? A lot of us are clumsy and trip up with our words all the time too.
I'm terrible with names and especially bad in public or when rushed (or put on the spot) - yet I've always been that way inclined.
Still, I've held down responsible jobs, made important decisions - and I know I'm very capable.
Is the image all-important or are we going to really listen to him and watch what he does?
I find it interesting that someone of reasonable intelligence (presumably) could see Trump as a shining light, I can certainly understand the baying mobs or gun toting, less educated, and of more limited intelligence people that we saw as baying mobs on TV in the dreadful scenes in US they are people with little knowledge of humanity and are still living in the days of white supremacy (I believe Trumps parent or at least one parent were KKK members so I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree) but why would some people over here or people with more intelligence want to follow his ignorant stance, must have a very closed mind or brainwashed
I think what we are looking at and it is a world wide movement is a populist far right movement, based on nationalism.
We can see it in Europe in every country although in most it is only a small minority, the highest support is in Austria with a populist nationalist party attracting something like 25%.
These parties are largely grounded in division and are always identified by their ability to identify a group that can be seen by the general population as “another” posing some sort of threat to the established nationals.
People who support Trump are the same sort of people who see Nigel Farage as some sort of messiah/ cult leader and sent him money. ( what happened to that?)
