And questions have been raised about Mr Biden’s mental, and physical, acuity. The president on Thursday accidentally called Kamala Harris, Vice President, “President Harris”.

Throughout the election campaign he has engaged in numerous malapropisms, slurred words, mispronouncing words and misidentifying people, such as calling his wife Jill his sister.

I’ve noticed he seems to make a point of jogging on stage up to the microphone to address an audience.

I’m concerned this 78 year old really isn’t as well as is hoped.

What an age for a man to be POTUS. When you think that out of all the people in America you’d think someone fitter could represent them. Kamala is waiting in the wings I suppose.

And look who came out of Austria whitewave2 !!!
Thankfully I m happy that the majority of posters on here have the intelligence and heart to see through these Farages and Trumps

Urmstongran is 100% correct and I can’t understand the reaction on here.

What has been achieved by the Biden administration since they took over has nothing whatsoever to do with Biden. He is the president in name only.
In the run up to the election it was clear that Biden was having mental lapses.

My son lives in the USA, and was horrified to watch live coverage of Biden being more inarticulate than Trump both in the run up to the election and since.
I have received live news clips time and time again from the US where he is talking utter nonsense. I am sure they have been featured on YouTube.
They do not allow him to hold press conferences because his team cannot depend on him to answer coherently. Sometimes he is on the ball. Other times it is painful to watch.
Simply the President is ill. His Vice President will take over when they cannot cover this up any longer.

bluebelle ug is a white supremacist. She supports the far right populist cause of people like Trump and Farage. You need to always bear that in mind when reading her political posts.

You called me a white supremacist yesterday now you are calling Urmstongran one ? how ridiculous.

Don’t be silly.

You will be absolutely aware that I qualified your misinterpretation yesterday, to which you did not have the grace to answer, and I have withdrawn my remark today, which you have ignored.

Having spent many hours completing appraisals, job competencies, development reviews etc perhaps the OP is onto something here
Just get everyone to run up a flight of aeroplane steps
No stumbles a big tick
One stumble - some retraining needed
Two stumbles - final warning
Three stumbles - you are out!

People who support Trump are the same sort of people who see Nigel Farage as some sort of messiah/ cult leader and sent him money. ( what happened to that?)

Nigel Farage achieved what he set out to do, for the UK to leave the corrupt EU.

Alegrias1 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:14:27

I actually think Farage is the most successful politician of the age. Got exactly what he wanted, and stuff everybody else. That's a sad state of affairs, isn't it?

Why make the comment in the first place, is that how to do it then make a nasty comment about a person but then retract that comment a few posts down and that makes it OK. I don't think so, seems a bit sneaky and underhand to me.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:23:33

The current POTUS is 78, and in my opinion too old for the job. I know he is only four years old than the former POTUS, who was showing many signs of also being too old for the job.

I am just amazed that in such a vast country that the current incumbent was/is the best candidate for the job. Obviously money and the old boys network is strong and alive in the USA.

The comments towards Urmstongran are really getting personal and nasty,

It’s worrying that when anyone shows the smallest bit of patriotism on GN they get called populist or now the in phrase white supremacist

Lucca Sat 20-Mar-21 08:27:09

“The smallest bit of. patriotism” ??? By being a trump supporter ? Not following that one.

mosid1910 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:28:09

Winston Churchill was 77 when he became PM in 1951. Not that I approved of him as I come from a mining area.

Lucca Sat 20-Mar-21 08:28:18

“ The comments towards Urmstongran are really getting personal and nasty, ”

No. The comments are against her political views.

Alegrias1 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:28:22

And yet we have a head of state that's nearly 20 years older than Biden.

Obviously money and the "privilege" network is alive and well in the UK.

Urmstongran Sat 20-Mar-21 08:30:39

Good morning everyone!

I couldn’t understand the vitriol coming from you either
Now that’s totally unfair BlueBelle. Re-read my posts from last night. I have been nothing but courteous about the man. I acknowledged the tragedies he has suffered in his life. I said that if I were his wife, Jill, I would be concerned. Please point out where you think I’ve been full of vitriol I don’t think so.

I just think the man shows many signs of doubtful competency. Worrying in anyone but hugely so in a POTUS.

Thank you for pulling WWmk2 when she called me a white suprematist Alegrias and thank you for withdrawing the remark WWmk2 although I don’t think you would have done so without a prompt from an intelligent fellow poster.

Maybe I am naive? Certainly I admit to being less intelligent than some on here. I’ve never pretended to be other than a bear with very little brain. But a white supremacist? No way José. I like the ‘velvet tongue’ bit - that made me laugh!

But, here’s the thing. I see what I see. It concerns me. I have an opinion on it is all, like everyone here does. It’s an opinion based on what I read and what I view!

I wonder if he’s a puppet POTUS.
I shall watch his first live national interview in 5 days’ time, with interest and slight anxiety about the man himself.

Alegrias1 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:35:01

I appreciate you comment UG.

But it's very unpleasant to wrap up your unmitigated dislike of the democratically elected President of the US as "concern" for his health, when what you are trying to do is undermine him. Clever people can be naive, and pretending to be just "little old you" with your opinions is just a wee bit disingenuous.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:43:08

If someone supports a particular politician, presumably the reason for doing so is that they identify with a particular politicians beliefs.

You can’t pick and mix. If you support and would vote for someone you do so with the full knowledge of what the politician brings to the table.

In Trumps case it is nationalism and white supremacy.

In Farage’s case it is nationalism and anti-immigration policy.

That is what you would get if you voted them in power. You cannot abrogate your responsibility.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:43:25

Polite in your response as always Urmstongran

MaizieD Sat 20-Mar-21 08:45:13

Ah, yes. Patriotism. The last refuge of the scoundrel.

I'm afraid it's a bit of a dirty word in liberal circles these days because of its association with fascism and its use by POTUS#45 and our own PM. Two indubitable scoundrels.

M0nica Sat 20-Mar-21 08:45:57

Bluebelle The quote is from one of my posts, but everything else in your post refers to something somebody else said, not me. I have consistently supported Biden and certainly never described Trump as 'peaceful'confused

vegansrock Sat 20-Mar-21 08:49:35

Nigel Farage did not get all he wanted - he didn’t get a seat in parliament or any UKIP/Brexit party MPs. He didn’t get the treaty he wanted either - control of fishing waters , N.I. still in customs union etc. So hardly the most successful politician ever.

Iam64 Sat 20-Mar-21 08:49:49

Urmston- you’re a supporter of Trump and we’re critical of Biden throughout the recent campaign. Your attempt to disguise the contempt you have for Biden’s political views as concerns for his health are at best, disingenuous.
I just heard Biden’s response to a question about Putin. ‘He’s a killer’ - spot on and an honest answer.

vegansrock Sat 20-Mar-21 08:49:50

He also supported Trump

Casdon Sat 20-Mar-21 08:52:42

To be fair though Alegrias1 whilst people may accuse the royal family of many things, I think it’s pretty safe to say that the queen hasn’t lost any of her marbles. Not that I think Biden has either. Age has nothing to do with this. Sadly we all suffer from physical decline though.

MaizieD Sat 20-Mar-21 08:53:22

It never worried you in the slightest when it came to supporting Trump, Ug. A man who was clearly unfit for high office.

The air of injured innocence is laughable....

Just to make myself clear vegansrock. Farage wanted us out of the EU and he wanted to enrich himself at the expense of the rest of us. He wanted power and he wanted to be seen as a man of the people. He didn't really care about anything else except as a stepping stone on the way to getting us out of the EU.
I certainly don't support him in any way, shape or form.
