Good Morning everyone. Fabulous S of France sunshine, wall to wall blue skies this week.....but still cold in a mad North wind! It’s a definite Double Pegger Day on the laundry line.
Ah well.....my cunning plan must go ahead this week (at least). Work must take place, changes must be made, efforts must override ‘the glooms’ or my mood is going to take a real nosedive!
I don’t think that the slightly despondent air is catching but I do agree that we’ve all had more than enough, thank you, of failed plans, limitations, interference and being kept away, endlessly, from those we love and miss.
So, in this household at least and to try to avoid feeling down, we aim to have a “Bu$$*r Brovid” week, where we stop considering the catastrophic effect of a pandemic plus the EU has had, could have, on far too many of us. Stuff must be achieved and as someone once said....we shall take back control! My house, my rules and the only place where I can exercise a bit of control and do what I want with my days. If I don’t hold on to that thought, I’m going to have problems avoiding a wobble!
Porridge eaten, shower taken and now I’m off to finish moving the hosepipes onto some pretty parched ground (the raging wind effect) Today there will be raking, barrowing , removal of the unpleasant water mark from the pool, booking one dog’s haircut, ironing, the early making of Urm’s SOAP dish and some rug washing. I have empty pots so a wonderful browse through my plant encyclopaedia will help me choose some colourful plants to sit on a new gravelled area. Gravel yet to be ordered and put in place! Keeping busy must be the way to go, just to have the feeling-good effect when I can step back and feel happy with some small achievements that nobody can stop!! ?
This is a day when I’d so love to get together with all of you and just indulge in some moans and groans, some silliness and really uncontrollable laughter. I can’t, but whilst I don’t have enough ill health or troubles to justify sitting in a heap, I’m determined to forget the news and just work at feeling good.
I shall let you know how it goes! Take care, don’t worry, get strong and corner that Flamingo, ?lovely ladies.
Hugs x ???
