Mine are:

A cup of builders tea
A strong cup of coffee
A chilled glass of white or rose wine

What do you like to drink and why?

A good G & T
Well chilled White or well breathed Red Wine
A good single Malt
A cup of Rooibush tea
Coffee from a pod in a coffee machine

Mint tea - first drink of every day.
- re-hydrates me and freshens my mouth after a night’s sleep.

In summer - Wimbledon time and as long as the sun is shining - Pimms No. 1, with as much mint and as many strawberries as I can cram in the glass with ice
- it signifies hours of pleasure watching lawn tennis.

Tea. Yorkshire.
A really good Chinese green tea. Leaves in the cup.
Local cloudy apple juice.
Fizzy water.
White iced coffee.
Flat white.
Full bodied red, but usually one glass. More makes me go red in the face.
Moscow Mule
Mojito
Vodka and lime

And my guilty and disgusting (bad for me) pleasure, diet Coke. I have at times given it up, but come back to it because I like it.

Tea, tea and more tea. Very weak and milky - more - "Would you like some tea with your milk (fully skimmed)?" Several large cups a day.
Sometimes a nice coffee at a garden centre cafe before Covid.
Very rarely fizzy drinks. A nice half pint of a light lager type beer.

Lupin Thu 25-Mar-21 12:07:22

In no particular order -

A glass of good prosecco on special occasions

Fever Tree soda and Mexican lime

A lovely rich mug of hot chocolate

Earl grey tea and lemon

Tropical fruit juice mixed with ice cold filtered water from the fridge

Recently, non alcoholic lager or beer early evening

Coconut water

Apart from the usual tea and coffee, cocktails!
But only on a Saturday evening. I am known within family and friends circle for my cocktails to suit the occasion. Of course over the past year it’s only been my husband and I enjoying them together! Looking forward to entertaining in the future.

Strong filter coffee with hot milk mid morning

Yorkshire tea 2 cups in the morning, I don’t drink coffee it gives me the shakes. Lots of coconut water which I love, Belvoir sparkling elderflower and rose. Just bought some Yorkshire tea, toast and jam flavour haven’t tried it yet. Don’t drink alcohol been there and done that.

I went off the taste of 'regular/black' tea many years ago and became a dedicated coffee drinker cafe- especially a Flat White or Cortado for a bit of extra 'oomph'. Can't go down the Espresso route though sad.

Recently, I've discovered Green Tea which I love with a slice of Lemon. So refreshing when I'm all 'coffeed-out' wink.

If we're talking 'alcofrolic' - then it's a Vodka and Tonic with a slice of Lemon grin

annodomini Thu 25-Mar-21 12:38:16

A big mug of Ceylon leaf tea for breakfast. For the rest of the day, I drink Roiboos tea, though if I'm out for morning coffee with a friend I often treat myself to hot chocolate.

Flakesdayout Thu 25-Mar-21 12:50:40

Peppermint tea throughout the day - 4 - 5 mugs. 2 litres of Water everyday (due to medication) and an occasional decaf cappuccino pouch in the afternoon.

Not had alcohol for such a long time so am a little envious.

Mamma7 Thu 25-Mar-21 12:51:34

Thank you there is certainly a lot of variety on here when it comes to favourite drinks. I am quite adventurous with food but not with drinks. I tend to stick with strong tea don't like herbal or fruit teas, a nice Italian coffee, white or rose wine and plenty of water. Not interested in spirits can't even stand the smell and prefer prosecco to champagne. What a varied lot we are!

PamSJ1 Thu 25-Mar-21 13:22:36

Coffee made with milk not water first thing
Tea made in my little teapot for one
Lemon and ginger tea
Vimto - cold in summer, hot in winter
Horlicks at night
Occasional Pepsi max - special occasion with malibu
Occasional baileys

HannahLoisLuke Thu 25-Mar-21 13:35:17

Full fat milk, I have a glass every morning to swallow my pills with as they have to be taken with food and I can’t eat until late morning.
Yorkshire Tea
Kendo Instant decaf occasionally
Horlicks Original sometimes at bedtime
Water when I remember
Home pressed apple, carrot and celery juice when I can be bothered.

farview Thu 25-Mar-21 13:57:36

Lots of Tea during the day...sometimes a decaf coffee ..no china cups or mugs ..dont like them.
Water...our tap water is delicious!
Red wine, merlot or malbec usually...not into fizzy drinks wether alcohol or not....

Bluecat Thu 25-Mar-21 14:19:03

I am much more common than anyone else here. I drink decaff instant coffee and diet orangeade, plus the occasional glass of tap water.

I have never liked wine. I will drink it with a celebratory meal but I don't really understand its appeal. Don't like beer either. I do like spirits but don't drink them much, because they make my irregular heartbeat go crazy. My alcoholic drink of choice is advocaat, which everyone hates. Like I said, I am common - not refined at all, I'm afraid.

Estrellita Thu 25-Mar-21 14:51:12

For some reason I have never acquired a taste for tea but I love good coffee, wine, gin and tonic and whisky. I think I have had two cups of tea this year - like Marmite I can take it or leave it. I guess I am just weird!

Nannan2 Thu 25-Mar-21 15:26:40

Our tap water tastes very chlorinated- so i stick to the bottled stuff to drink..i used to love strong tea, but since very ill xmas 2019 (which was probably undiagnosed covid) i have gone off tea as much as it doesnt taste 'quite the same', i like coffee made with a certain coffee bag, as its a good strong flavour, (whereas before being ill i wasnt a big coffee drinker) and an occasional G&T or a chardonnay spritz in summer, or very occasionally(hols usually) a malibu or a cocktail. Not a big alcohol drinker though these days.

Nannan2 Thu 25-Mar-21 15:30:41

I'm amazed how many like yorkshire tea- its horrid weak stuff, its not nice.(& I'm a yorkshire woman!)

aonk Thu 25-Mar-21 16:13:46

Warm water with lemon and tea at breakfast time. A nice strong coffee mid morning. Then tea or water for the rest of the day. Mint tea in the evening. 1 can of Diet Coke per week.
We only drink alcohol on very rare occasions.

GrammarGrandma Thu 25-Mar-21 17:28:16

Mug of decaff tea 7am
Mug of black caff coffee made from beans, hazelnut flavoured at 11am
Water with meals
3-6pm another mug of decaff tea
7pm a glass of wine with dinner

i can to cut down on caffeine because of sleep problems and tendency to get benign breast lumps (not had one since I cut down in 1998). I adore coffee and look forward to that caffeine shot at 11am every day
