Smug Tindalls

I am so happy that the Queen has had some exciting family news - she has so much to contend with at present. BUT is anyone else getting a trifle fed up of Mike Tindall grinning at the camera as he tells us how well they are dealing with their children in lockdown and how he delivered Tindall No. 3 on the bathroom floor! Not everyone has his fortunate circumstances and it must be galling for people who are really struggling. His smugness seems to know no bounds!

Gawd, there's some bitter old bints on here !

grin grin grin

Use of the word ‘bint’ is not amusing - it’s derogatory and unacceptable.

It's definitely derogatory. In (some) Arab countries, if you wore Western clothing, you were said to be a cabaret bint... Not sure if that still applies nowadays though.

Nasty, negative, spiteful, curmudgeonly, mean spirited, insular, petty minded, bitter, shrewish. All adjectives that apply to this mealy mouthed opening post. OP needs to get out more.

Did he really deliver baby on the bathroom floor, good for him at least Zara has a man that is some use. I wonder what Anne’s comment was, “ just like foaling a mare” maybe.

Katie59 ; your comment made me laugh saying that Anne's comment could have been "just like foaling a mare"

I said up thread that I delivered my Ds baby at her home when the ambulance did not arrive.
I did not dare to post on here when friends asked me was I
frightened doing the delivery I replied to them "It was all okay after all I had to assist my dog when she had her puppies and was in difficulty and they all came out alive.
My daughter was not amused on hearing that.

Delighted to hear their good news and I wish the family well.

I had to look up the picture, as I’d not seen any news today, but I think he looks happy and I hope they both are and that the baby is well.

Not sure about the smug thing, but I think I heard him mention a preference for a boy and Peter Crouch like him uttered something really stupid when his first son was born, whether he was tongue in cheek or not, it was along the lines, "finally I've got an heir" Comments such as these piss me off no end, so what are the two girl children thenshock On the other hand I think I read Victoria Beckham say something equally fatuous when Harper arrived "at last I have someone to leave my handbag collection to" hmm

Anyway aside from that all the best to them both.

I am sure he is just happy to have someone he will be able to teach rugby to! I am equally sure he dotes on his daughters - I pity any boy who tries to mistreat them when they are older!

I think their elder daughter, Mia, looks quite capable of looking after herself, a very determined child!

Unfortunately you still get such comments from fathers about a boy, especially when they are in the public eye and very well know that every word they utter will be analysed!

It is perfectly natural to want children of both genders.

We planned 2 children only and when the first was a boy certainly hoped that the second would be a girl and were delighted when it was.

It doesn't follow that because Mike Tindall is rugby player, that his son will have any interest in the game. It may well be one of his daughters that becomes a player. DH is an engineer - and so is DD. DS has never had the slightest interest in engineering.

When we were growing up and one of us said something a bit mean or spiteful, my Mum used to say "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". I think some posters could well heed that advice.

I join with those who think it's great!

Lovely news, I am really pleased for Zara and Mike.
