My eldest turns 50 this year. Oh my. Where did all those years go? Sure makes me feel ancient. My eldest grandchild is 27, youngest is 2. I have this theory that you can’t pin down and measure time. It definitely goes faster the older you get.

My daughter will be 40 in May, elder son 38 in May (they have the same birthday) and younger son will be 36 in August. My granddaughter will be 5 in May.

I may have the prize for having the youngest ? he’s 25! I had him when I was 42 and have loved every minute of it! However eldest is 42 and middle one 39 ?

My oldest son is 44, a daughter 43 this coming April 3, and my youngest son is 38. I have 5 grandchildren whose ages range from 18 to 2. My father is 87 although my mother is gone now he is a great grampie but I do think the next generation with adult kids having their children in their late 30's as opposed to early 20's like my parents and I also did will likely mean not nearly as many 3 generation photos.

My eldest is 41 on 'escape to shops/pubs day'?that was lucky for her- she spent her 40th in lockdown last yr poor thing! But so did my youngest, who is 18 the week after his sisters birthday.?(hes not going anywhere, hes been shielding, so darent go out, despite what gov't say) ??- im not sure if he keeps me young, or ages me?-anyway, we all still have young looking genes in our family.?

I remember saying to my mother who is in her 80s, wow I feel old my daughter is in her 30s now and she replied “how do you think I feel my daughter is in her 60s” smile

Lizzie44 Wed 31-Mar-21 11:28:13

It seems incredible - I no longer have a child under 50. My younger one was 50 a week ago - her second birthday under lockdown and she had such grand plans for a family party for her 50th. She had her first Covid vaccination yesterday which makes me feel even older. Where has all the time gone since I was taking her and her older sister for their childhood vaccinations?

My eldest child will also be 50 this year and youngest mid forties.

We have just celebrated our Golden Wedding anniversary this week. Can't believe how the years have flown by.

My eldest child is 46 I have 7 grandchildren ranging from 2 to 26 and I’ve just been told I’m going to be a great grandmother at 62, oh I feel ancient now ?

annodomini Wed 31-Mar-21 11:14:33

DS1 is 50 in a fortnight's time. I didn't marry until I was 29, and he was born just a year later. His brother followed in 21 months, so now he is 48. I'm very fortunate to have such lovely, supportive sons, and five lively grandchildren.

Hello all, I think I’m among the leaders! my eldest will be 60 in a short time, I was a child bride ?
Brought back a memory of when my father was in hospital and he delighted in telling everybody that my husband and I were pensioners, I think we were 59.All in the eye of the beholder I guess.

Eldest will be 52 on Saturday. (As an aside he was born on a Good Friday and my birthday that year was Easter Sunday).
My youngest will be 47 in May.
I remember sitting in a cafe and overhearing some loud chatter from the next table. One lady said “ My son turned to me and said ‘For heaven’s sake , mum, stop worrying about me. I am over 50!’” It’s true. You never stop worrying about them.

Auntieflo Wed 31-Mar-21 09:51:16

This year my children will be 58, 55, 46
