Isn’t it lovely to see the charitable responses from people too?

We had same thing happening teacheranne - ours was a free event and people kept asking “how much is it?”. Had to leave a basket out in the end as lots of donations were being handed in. This will also go to charity. I think people are so glad to see/be involved with something approaching normal thar they just want to show their appreciation in some way.

Well, almost all the little chicks and rabbits have been adopted, I might leave the tray out again tomorrow to see if the last four find a home.

I was totally astonished today that two people insisted on posting some money through my letterbox for them. Both times I heard the rustling and went out to say that I don’t want paying but would donate the money to charity - total of £10! I was touched at their generosity.

How lovely for the children. I’m sure they would appreciate the gesture.

It’s a lovely day here, spirits are high, and the Easter Bunny (aka my DH) has arrived! 90 village children are booked throughout the day to receive their egg. There are still lovely things happening - hope you all have a good holiday weekend!

I have made these chicks and rabbits as Easter decorations for people to help themselves - no charge! I live in a quiet area with most children walking with their parents so I hope there will be no messing about!

My notice says they are for the local children who have been badly affected by the lockdowns.
