It was always Paul for me, until he turned into a knob.

In his brilliant book 'One Two Three Four', Craig Brown says that they represent the four elements:
John is fire
Paul is water
George is air
Ringo is earth
I would disagree with this. Paul is air and George is water. This is backed up by their star signs, Paul Gemini (air), George Pisces (water). Still waters run deep, that's George!

In fact, John is actually Libra (air) and Ringo Cancer (water) so there was no fire sign in the group. Although I agree John was fiery and Ringo earthy, so their personal horoscopes may show those elements on the ascendant or something. I think that can change things.

I thought they were all pretty repulsive, to be honest, but George was the best-looking by conventional standards.

Paul every time!

Always George for me. Pics all over my school books. Saw them in 1964 in Belfast. I was 14 and the Postmistress in our little town ran a bus to go see them. The bus stopped on the way home at a chip shop.

Paul for me, since I was a teen and to this day. Although out of the four of them, John had the most personality.

My class at school were all in love with Paul, but for me it was John. Talented artist and quirky sense of humour. He went a bit odd when he met Yoko IMO.

I was a Stones fan but if I absolutely HAD to choose I think George.
Saw them live & they were really not very good at all. Almost as if they couldn't be bothered.
Saw The Stones a month later & was hooked.
Mind you Bowie was the best ever !!

Always Paul

George for me too. I had a picture of him on the inside of my desk lid at primary school. I seemed to be the only one in my class who liked him best, the replies today have been a bit of a shock grin

Never a Beatles fan but I did like John. Supremely talented and a relatable oddball.

Davida1968 Fri 09-Apr-21 11:40:49

George! Since 1962..... But I loved them all....

Forestflame Fri 09-Apr-21 11:36:09

Paul, love both his Beatles music and the music he made with Wings. George comes a very close second.

pen50 Fri 09-Apr-21 11:30:34

George for me too...

Aepgirl Fri 09-Apr-21 11:22:16

John, until he left his wife for the ghastly Yoko.

dancingnana1 Fri 09-Apr-21 11:22:06

Paul,loved his eyes and eyelashes!

SueDoku Fri 09-Apr-21 11:21:46

Paul - those eyes, those legs (that bum - sorry to lower the tone ?)

jaybee66 Fri 09-Apr-21 11:19:18

I like John but nobody in my class liked George so I decided to put him as my favourite. I saw them at Wigan ABC in 1964 I think it was.

Always had a soft spot for Ringo...I had family who lived near to him (pre fame) and all spoke about how nice he was.
