Noise after lockdown

We are venturing out a bit more now and today we visited an antique centre. There weren’t a lot of people there but they were so noisy! Talking in loud voices, customers and staff. One member of staff engaged in conversation with me, saying she had only been out once, so obviously she was glad of someone to talk to.
It made me realise just how quiet our lives have been this past year. I can’t say I am very keen on noise, especially from other people. It seems so intrusive now.

I am sure you will get used to it, we have lived very sheltered lives for the past year. The noise of my DH eating sometimes drives me nuts, and I haven't been able to get away from that! smile

I’m really missing the noises from the marina, boatyard and steam railway museum. It will be good to see signs of life again.

Traffic noise is what I am most aware of since the easing of restrictions. During the first lockdown taking exercise was a peaceful experience, with just the sound of bird song.

Just a thought. It's lovely to hear the happy noise of children in the school playground.

Yes! That sort of noise is lovely.
