``Apologies for late start! I'm afraid it was "MENS (pardon the expression) night tonight, 11 of them in fact collectively known as "Manchester City"' beating PSG. I didn't see much of the alleged "goal machine, but some of the others gave City a bit of a run at times.
We had full match on TV with no ads except at half-time which allowed for other activities!
The sun certainly does shine on the righteous and in more ways than one because we've had another lovely sunny day with more promised until next Monday.
Routine visit to GP to day went off OK with no hanging around' Masks are mandatory as is rinsing hands in alcohol; it's quite nice dabbed behind the ears, but no temperature readings or questions about recent overseas visits; as if!
No signing in either!
Anyway he wants to see me again in 2 months so what with "vascular surgeon" giving me 6 months I'm good to go! Hoping they aren't famous last words. 
Caused some confusion at our re-convened "Over-80s Club" !today.
Jill, our Manager offered to give me a lift knowing that I'm now without car, but I said no thanks because it's such a nice day I'll be accompanied by Freda; caused some confusion due to my Mancunian accent; still with me apparently after 50 years in OZ
Sadly a few members didn't make it back for Term 2; old age, not Covid; but 3 from a class of 15 is noticeable. , 
Anyway, it's now Friesday 12.30am and what with all the excitement at the Club I need to rest
Nurse's turn later followed by Lily, house cleaner; it's all go!
