If you could narrow your favourite films of all time down to just three, which would they be?

Mine would be:
Midnight Run
It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World
South Pacific

There was another thread like this a short while ago, and no one had even one of my choices!

I like too many films.for different reasons, it's difficult to narrow it down to 3, but top of my list will always be 'Notes on a Scandal'
I was so glued to it time flew by, and in what seemed like a second it was over!
Probably 'The talented Mr Ripley' with jude law. From Patricia Highsmiths book.

And if I'm only allowed 3 it's a toss up between 'The Four Seasons' with Alan alder. And 'Last of the Mohicans' directed by Michael Man. Now I know lots of people like LOTM so I'll go with that, then at least I will be included this timegrin

Just saw some posters object to pretty woman! I love that film, especially the ‘big mistake’ scene on rodeo drive.

Krispii Sat 22-May-21 11:23:13

Pretty Woman
Con Air
Memphis Belle

DillytheGardener Sat 22-May-21 11:22:15

Pretty Woman
Steel Magnolias
& The Lion King as I have very fond memories of my sons watching whilst acting along with their stuffed animals watching the film on repeat.

I do think that PW is pretty dodgy in its attitudes to women and sugar daddies.
I was having a laugh with Lucca - I'm sure that she knows what I mean.

Lucca Pretty Woman!? shock

I don't know what's wrong with Pretty Woman, Fanny. It's a very popular movie and would be near the top of anyone's list of favourite rom-coms.

Jaxjacky Sat 22-May-21 10:38:24

The Hunger
Highlander (the original)
Angel Heart

You're gaining ground on me Chestnut!

Oh, I forgot Jaws! Sorry, that would have to be my 5th choice if only for the night scene inside the boat with the great Robert Shaw telling his story. Such atmosphere! And the anticipation, will they catch it, will it get them?

Billybob4491 Sat 22-May-21 10:17:51

Imitation of Life
Grease
Jaws

FannyCornforth Sat 22-May-21 10:15:46
