Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow.
An easy day planned, after yesterday's lunch visit to DS2's new home. An early morning visit to Asda to collect a parcel, virtual Mass and the Sunday papers later in the conservatory are the plan for the day Lettuce need transplanting, but I don't know if I have the energy.
By the way ladies, I have returned James, I much prefer more mature men! ?
Because we enjoyed ourselves so much at DS', we didn't arrive back unti till late. This was the first time I have driven with back seat drivers passengers and impatient boy racers, overtaking me in well over a year, so I was a bit nervous to say the least!
It's my yellow car, which gives the impression that I am a doddery old lady driver. If only they knew. ?
Lunch included home made pizza from DS's new outdoor pizza oven. I am in lust! ???????
It was a tad chilly, but I sat in the garden, supervising chatting to DS, while he cooked. It was lovely to have him all to myself, as I have had some concerns about MrMD recently.
The best part of the day, was them announcing that they had booked their wedding the day before and we were the first to know!
I was a bit worried about how DD would react, as this was the venue she had booked for her postponed reception after her garden wedding last year. It had been postponed again due to Covid and she abandoned her plans.
It transpired that she had already had a word with my DD and his fiancée, giving her blessing, transferring deposits for kilts etc., knowing that my future DIL loved that venue. She also suggested that I wear the unworn outfit from her wedding, rather than buy another one. What a lovely daughter she is.
This the wedding venue, a former Baptist church, run as a charity to preserve it and coincidently, where DS had his university graduation ceremony. It was built by the Coats family, ( the famous Anchor thread company) as a memorial to their late father) Perfect choice.
Redhead, I've noticed you on other threads, but not this one, so welcome! I too am feisty redhead, ? although the flames have died down somewhat.
Wishing you all a pleasant day my dear friends and hoping those who are struggling, have had a restful and pain free night. ?
