A long way from the start - how far away from your birth town do you live ?

Born in London, still live in London although about 10 miles from where I was born.

Over 5,000 miles, born in Pakistan at RAF hospital, left when a year old.

About 60 miles. Until I was in my late 50s I never lived more than 10 miles from my birthplace in Central London.

About 70 miles.Liverpool to Shropshire via Cheshire and Lancashire.

For this self-selecting sample, mostly the 70% of people live within 30 miles of where they were born idea seems wrong.
I'm way over that!

Thinking about this, does this include the whole world or are we talking UK?

About 135 miles. But across the Channel in France. ?

Over 6000 miles away from my birthplace in the UK.

I live just around the corner and down a bit from the house I was born and lived in until I married.
I can see it from our back bedroom window.

I am 21 miles away from my birth place, and lived there until I
was nearly 6 years old. I remember the place well but sadly do not travel back there too often.

About 220 miles. That's the closest I've been since 1965.

Some 6,100 miles! Born in Mauritius, ended up in E Kent.

I assume because it said ‘miles’ rather than kms that it must be the uk but I might be wrong. Could be the US .

From South London to Oxfordshire/Berkshire via Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaya, Belgium, Germany, Newcastle, Carlisle, Yorkshire.

I am now living 5 miles from where I lived for 3 years in my early teens and in the same village that contains the premises my father worked in.
